Foot shrinkage?

Juliek7312's lovely post has made me a little worried.  I have shoes and boots I love and cannot replace.  (I have a pair of these and they are discontinued, I can't quite do them all the way up till my calves shrink but I am so in love with them)

How many of you have had foot shrinkage?  If so how much?  Were your feet 'fat' before?  My feet and ankles are like the only non fat places on me.  I figured my width might shrink but also the length?!

Shoes and bags were my go to splurge as I figured I wouldn't change that much in my feet.  Am I looking at only bags and necklaces lol until well after postop?

Size 9 to 8 here. I didn't think they would change: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/08/sad-s hoe-day.html

Well and all my necklaces (all jewelry, bracelets, rings) had to be adjusted too.  Rings were the worst 11 to 6 1/2.

So maybe stick to bags ;)

I am worried about my rings.  Unlike my feet which are not puffy and very lean my hands are on the squidgy side.  Necklaces less so, pretty much all of the have the adjustment where they can be clipped over a few inches.

I was in a 12w. I no long ger need the wide but am on mostly 12's still. Every once in a while an 11 will fit. I can't wear most of my 12w any more as they are sloppy on my feet. I never had many shoes though since 12w is hard to find

Mine didn't change. I would say the majority do go down a size, but there are many that don't. But avoid new purchases if you can.

Something like boots you can get away with being too large. But other things, like running shoes or high heels, need to be a proper size.

You will be amazed at how much longer your necklaces will grow when you've lost a lot. Something that was a choker before might end up down to your waist.

My feet shrank. The more covering a shoe, the worse. But even my heals ended up being too big. That I was not prepared for because I thought the fat was in my ankles. My ballet slippers seem ok, just a little bit looser, but I have not tried a smaller size yet. I used to buy shoes in larger sizes as they became more covering (7.5 flats, 8 heals, and 8.5 tennis shoes), but now I fit in 7.5 for all of them.

I lost 150 pounds and my feet are still a size 11. No longer a wide width needed but still a size 11!

Even if you don't lose a shoe size, your gait might be different. I had to replace all of my shoes bc my back was killing me. I only went down half a size.
