I hear you, Karen, I'm all alone out here in the middle of nowhere, (Nebraska). I see all these beach pictures and the town I live in is exactly 1,733 miles from either coast! Smack in the middle East & West and smack in the middle North & South, too.

I know I've been in Illinois all but the first 4 years of my life and the only thing around here is corn and green beans.

Cornfields and cattle around here. I have to say I do love living here, though. I would not enjoy living in a large, busy city. My house is in the country, 1 mile outside of a town that is big enough to have shopping, restaurants and entertainment, but small enough to be able to drive through it easily. The best of both worlds. We may not have a beach, but there are lakes nearby and sand pits. I am happy. It would be nice if another RNY friend lived around here, though.

What the freak time do you people get up??? I feel like it's the middle of the night and you guys are already arguing yhe finer points of slang.

FYI I hate slang. My kids do not use it in my presence as I go on a long rant about how it makes you sound less smart than you are.

I hit my lowest weigh yet yesterday so I feel like I am on thw right track. I held it today, so it is real.

I am doing lots of shakes right now. Super stressed at work and home. Weird phenomenon, instead of stress eating I am not eating when stressed..... Weird.
