What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning from cold and sunny Syracuse! Someone left a box of pumpkin spice k-cups in the kitchen here at work and I have to say, that might be the highlight of my week so far. Mmmm...pumpkin spice is for ALL the seasons.
QOTD! OK, so last week (I think) we talked about our favorite words/words that are underutilized. Today I want to hear your least favorite words. No fair saying "moist" or "panties" because errrybody hates those. LOL I cringe a little whenever someone says crusty or crust. Or clump. Or squirt. shudders
Time since surgery: 21+ months
B: Friendship Fit to Go cottage cheese and a HB egg
S: 1/2 of a cookies and cream Quest bar. I finally got my freebies I requested for like 3 months ago!
L: deli chicken on Wasa light rye crisps spread with Laughing Cow and a string cheese
D: the rest of my redneck lettuce wraps: grilled chicken on romaine leaves with cilantro avocado dressing
TOTALS: Cals: 846 Protein: 109 (wut?!) Carbs: 35 Fat: 31
My name is Kristen and I approve this menu. LOL Have a great day!
Good morning!
QOTD: Moist really IS the worst word ever. But beyond that, what annoys me more is the propensity people have for making up words. For instance: orientating. I am orientating this employee. No you aren't: you're orienting them. O2 Stat. His O2 stats are 80%! No loser, his 02 sats are 80%. Ugh.
B- protein shake with skim milk and PB2
L- so sucktastic today. We are going to a lunch to celebrate a co-workers retirement and I've already scanned the menu. It's a pizza joint and you would think there would be a protein forward salad or something there, but not so much. I dunno. Got nothing.
D- protein shake with skim milk
S- protein shake with water

LMAO! I have a coworker that says "I had the funnest time at fill in the blank". Gah.
The book is good, I only get to read right before I go to bed, so some nights its only a few pages. Lots of things with me going, OMG that is spot on ME...but not a lot of "oooohh so THAT is how I can work on that".
So I read her talking about something that I actually do, but not a lot of how I need to go about fixing the problem.
BUT I am also still in the beginning of the book, so I am giving it some time.
Or maybe I am just stubborn or thick headed! So she says making the excuse "well my husband and kids didn't have WLS, and they can have treats in moderation, so they should be able to have these things at the house", which I say a lot, is actually a way of PRE PLANNING YOUR CHEATS. Yikes, its true, and her answer is just not having these things in the house. But ....that is all well and good, but isn't the answer I am looking for. HAHAHA
What is the name of the book? Sounds like I might like to get it as well.
