I dont know what i am doing wrong im eating only what the book says. I have sliped a few times nothing crazy and it was just a bite. I have not been good with the wAter intake and i know some days the protein meeting the 60 grAms is hard. Am i hitting a slow time is this normal. March 17 th 2016 i weighed 253 and today i wieghed 238 but it said that last week when i weighed my self at my moms.. Im a little fustrated......

You lost 14lbs in a month, that is a great weight loss. You will not lose weight every week. Stalls happen early out even when you are barely eating anything.

2 red flags I see... you are taking 'bites' of things so early out. And you are not getting all your water in. Both those things can make you stall. If you are not committed wholeheartedly, the bites will only get worse and bigger.

I had my surgery the same day and I know EXACTLY how you feel. Last week for 7-9 days, my scale had not moved at all. At that point, I had lost 19 lbs then I was done. But, I made the same mistakes as you. I had a bite of things here and there that I shouldn't have (carby things), I was barely meeting my water requirement, and I wasn't eating at all. Everything I was allowed to have made me feel sick at the thought of them and I was taking a bite of pizza and feeling ill as well. I woke up the next day and said, I don't care if I actually puke, I need to make myself drink a shake for breakfast. At lunch I need to have a few shrimp, and for dinner I need to eat chicken. I also made myself drink 3 bottles of water. I have done that every day since last Friday and I lost 4 more pounds. These people on this forum and our doctors know what they're talking about. I just needed to open my eyes and ears and seriously listen and then take action! I do not have a ton of energy yet, my body still feels week and I'd love to sit around and be lazy all day. I allowed myself to lay around and sleep as often as I wanted while I was out of work for 5 weeks but I literally started back today and I already feel like I need the strict schedule of work in my life because its easier to keep focused. So my advice would be to increase the water and protein as much as you can and watch the scale move! I know you'll be as surprised as me, good luck :-)

I agree with the previous posts but also wanted to add how important your water is, when I was early out I was chewing on ice a lot and did not realize how little water I was really getting I ended up in the ER with dehydration and was there for hours getting IV fluids to catch me up, it was not a good day. I started doing bottled water after that and was monitoring it better bu****er is very important so remember to sip sip sip all day long  Good luck you got this just remember why you started this journey and now is the time to get all the bad habits out of your life so you will be healthy the rest of your life.

I would suggest tracking your food with a tool like myfitnesspal.  That way you can see if these bites are actually the cause or not.

The real issue of "taking bites" of things so early out may eventually lead to bigger bites...then eating the whole thing. Anyone who is eating things they know they shouldn't, especially so early out, IS a cause for concern. The dieticians and nutritionists give us a menu for a reason. We owe it to ourselves to stick to that menu...and avoid eating carby foods too early out. Everyone really needs to avoid simple carbs until they are at or below goal. ETA: And even at goal...simple carbs should still be limited.

Testing your pouch/tolerance for sugar and taking bites of foods better left alone, I'm sorry, but those are all signs of non-compliance. Those behaviors will eventually bite you in the butt.

1/4 eggbeaters = 1 egg, for reference.

Why not cook one egg and see how much it takes to measure 1/2 cup?

Hint: the answer is probably "more than you should be eating right now."
