Ugh, you guys.  Is it Friday, yet?  I'm not mentally prepared for this week.  My weekend was ****ty and I'm mad at my husband and my son has the week off for "spring break" (since when do elementary school kids get spring break?  LOL) and I think I have TMJ and...  I guess I'll have some cheese to go with my whine.  LMAO  Seriously, though, about the TMJ; has anyone had that?  For the last couple of weeks I've had some discomfort on the right side.  It's the worst in the morning (maybe because of how I sleep?  Or maybe I'm grinding my teeth?) and it hurts like a mofo when I yawn.  I've consulted Dr. Google and I think I need to reduce stress.  Oh, it is to laugh!  Someone wanna give me a clue as to how to do that?

QOTD!  So, the other day I was a RiteAid and the cashier asked me if I had a Plenti card.  I happen to have the card on my key chain, and she commented that she was surprised it was the only thing on it.  LOL  I can't stand to have a whole bunch of **** on my key ring, so it's just my car key, house key and the one bonus card on the ring.  Nothing else.  My husband's "keys & crap" weigh like a bamillion pounds; he's got a carabiner and a thumb drive and I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know what half of the keys on there are even for.  So, tell me...what kind of stuff do you keep on YOUR key chain?

I'm about to channel my dad as I say this... Never keep the make and model of your car on your keychain! If you lose your keys you are telling the theives which car to take. And you likely have all your home address info in your car, so you are giving them the keys to your house with a map, too!

Ok, dad's going to shut up now. Enjoy the rest of your day! ;)

I have been a TMJ patient for 38 years.  I had splint therapy for the 1st 2 years.  It was then decided that the splint could not further improve my problem of excruciating jaw pain, migraine headaches, loud clicking upon opening and closing my mouth, only being able to open my mouth the width of my pinkie finger, and sometimes having my mouth lock in the open position.

I had to have surgery.  The disc that is suppose to float over the TMJ was found to be mangled, so it was replaced with a teflon coated disc.  After healing I was fine.  Ten years later I got a call from the oral surgeon that performed my TMJ surgery.  He was calling to say that my teflon disc had been recalled by the FDA and I had to have immediate surgery to remove it.

I had the implant explanted.  There was enough scar tissue that I didn't have to have a replacement for the removed teflon disc.  I have my bite checked every 6 months.  Sometimes it's off and has to be adjusted by my dentist.

I recommend that you have your problem checked by a TMJ specialist...ASAP!

Good morning AV, yes to Mondays sucking, but I had a super-fantastic weekend. Saturday our son's AAU tournament was canceled and I was able to go SANS kiddos shopping to an outlet mall with a bunch of ladies from church. We had a good time and got some great deals. Sunday was church, then grocery shopping (ugh) and then helped plant garden with my parents. This year we are co-op ing with them and sharing a garden. Their garden is pretty huge so I'm hoping it will go well. I plan to freeze sweet corn and can green beans this year. Also, my husband got our 1/2 bath remodeling project finished and it is GORGEOUS. When we got home after planting garden, I grilled out burgers and we all ate outside. It really was a nice weekend.

QOTD: Very  minimal--a LED light, a tap-tap keychain (Haitian taxi bus) and a few keys. I throw them away if I don't know what they are, so I have about 6.

B- protein shake with PB2 and skimmed milk

L- protein shake with skimmed milk

D- ground beef, lettuce, pico, shredded cheese, refried beans & a dollop of greek yogurt

S- protein shake with water

Totals: Cals-1151; Protein-143; Carbs- 94 (the protein drinks are killing my carb count); Fat-28

I saw the pic of the bathroom remodel on facebook and I am so super jealous!  My house was built in 1983 and has it's original kitchen and baths.  I would LOVE to redo both baths and the kitchen.  you are lucky that your hubby is handy like that.  My hubby is most definitely not.
