1 year surgiversary and I'm in pain like I was right out of surgery. List of symptoms are
I am more than 12 years post op and about 2 years ago, started having increasing episodes of all the same symptoms you described. Increased feelings of restriction, constant bloating, pain and tenderness. Lost 50 lbs over the course of a year. All tests negative with regards to gall bladder, even though having colicky type pain. Hide scan with high EF, 87% i think. Last test in Jan was EGD which showed mild gastritis and blind loop syndrome (candy cane). Had that resected 4 weeks ago along with take down of scar tissue.
Hi Tanya,
I got a notice in my email . Looks to me (but I'm no dr) but what it seems to me is that the gallbladder is fine.
My scan was a 70% and said I had Mild duodeogastric reflux . What do they do for that? I guess I'll just wait to hear from my dr. Alteast I have knowledge and hopefully my dr will get back with me tomorrow or Wednesday
THE PAIN CAN BE YOU GALLBLADDER, THE NAUSEA I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT I HAVE DAILY NAUSEA AND EVEN WITH MEDS IT IS NOT GETTING BETTER. I WAS GIVEN OMEPRAZOLE FOR ACID REFLUX ( DONT HAVE IT) I CANT BURN OR VOMIT AFTER THE SURGERY EITHER AND THAT MAKES IT SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT.
HOWEVER FOR THE PAIN IN MY STOMACH I WAS GIVEN DYCICLOMINE AND GAS PILLS TOGETHER WITH HOT TEA WORKS GREAT
THE TEA THAT HAS WORKED THE BEST FOR ME IS GINGER WITH LEMON AND PEPPERMINT.
HOPE YOU GET SOME RELIEF
Thank you Mariame.
I'M GONNA HAVE TO COPY, PASTE AND PRINT THAT OUT BECAUSE I HAVE A HARD TIME REMEMBERING THINGS.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME OUT TO ANSWER ME.
STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM MY SURGEON ABOUT THE HIDA BUT MY GRAND DAUGHTER JUST GOT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL AND MY PLANS ARE TO CALL MY DR FIRST THING IN THE AM.
THANKS FOR THE TIPS TOO.
