Love your hair! I thought for a minute I would grow mine out but as always happens I immediately hate it.  Hair cut this weekend!

QOTD: I checked and the last picture I took was of the bathroom floor in a store I stopped at yesterday.  I sent it as a text to my hubby with the caption, "Quality me time as usual." lol While in that same bathroom my 15yo son called me to ask me to pick him up from school. I answered the phone. Why? Who answers the phone in a public restroom?? Me! Had to because I of course was worried something might be wrong or he might have a an emergency or the zombie apocalypse was upon us and he was alerting me. Worry much? I told him I was in the bathroom.  He blurts out, "Why are you always in the bathroom!?!"  He said later his entire section of the marching band turned and starting laughing their heads off. I am the classy mom! Everyday is an adventure right? :)

B: Greek yogurt

S: Cheese stick

L: Cottage cheese

D: Wheeee! No clue.  A friend is coming into town to visit from L.A. and we will be out and about.  Could be anything!

Have a great weekend!

LOVE the new do!  I'll vote for pets!  I'd love to see everyone's furry family members!

Yesterday was not the day for me to "get back on track"  Yesterday's staff appreciation lunch was a delicious disaster for me.  I think I actually did ok food wise, one of our options was branzino, so I ordered that, gave the mashed potatoes that came with it away and had a piece of broccoli.  The trouble was what came before and after lunch.  There was an open bar and they were circulating drinks when you walked in.  I grabbed a mimosa, fully expecting to just hold it so I had "something" in my hand (since my surgery 2 years ago, I haven't had a single drink . . . a sip here and there, but never a whole drink)  This strategy worked at the Christmas Party.  Well, it didn't work yesterday.  I had the mimosa and somehow ended up with a Moscow Mule at the end of the party.  Add to that part of the apple tart they served for dessert and my peanut butter habit that has reared its ugly head . . . and the scale was up 1 lb this morning.  Also, even though I take crazy high doses of PPIs, my acid is out of control this morning.  Crap. (sorry for the TMI, but if I can't complain to you guys, who can I complain to?

Edit to add KQOTD:  I took a picture at the gym last night.  The instructor and someone in class were wearing the same outfit, so I was the designated photographer.

My plan for today is, sadly, up in the air.  Passover is tonight and while I'll stick to my proteins (luckily Passover is a low carb holiday) I have no idea what's on the menu.  So, here's my half-baked plan.

B: Turkey, pesto and cheese, latte made with 4 oz fairlife milk

L: hamburger patty, 1 slice of cheese and grilled onions

D: ??? Some sort of beef, I would guess . . . or roasted chicken

S: Light and Fit???

No totals for me, since so much is up in the air, but I'll keep it under 1000

Happy Friday to all my fellow RNY'ers,

Not making any excuses, it is what it is and I am working on it.  This losing a spouse and grieving is something I have no words for.  I am someone that has control over my eating and working out like no one has ever seen.  As I go through my day little things throw me for a loop and the sadness is overwhelming.  And....I eat carbs.  The last week has been bad and I need to just go through it and come out on the other end.  My son called and we are doing an impromptu trip to Disney with my grand angels so what better way to get back on track and work through the sadness.

BTW, reducing carbs on Monday after Disney LOL  I will be OK, I have 3 great reasons to be around for a L O N G time.
