Wait...what???
A couple of days ago my surgeon's office had me ask my PCP to write my letter of medical clearance. I thought it was a little premature since I still have 3 1/2 more weeks of the pre op weight loss. Well, my PCP wrote the letter and the surgeon's office called today to tell me they have submitted everything to my insurance.
Last year I had completed 2 months of the pre op weight loss and then moved so I have had to start over. I don't know if they are counting that or what their thought process is. All I know is IT JUST GOT REAL and I all of a sudden have a different mindset.
I am so excited and...well...a little apprehensive. Just had to share!

That's great. Hopefully all of the paperwork goes smoothly.

It is good news. You may need to just finish the 6 months before the scheduled surgery... and you are close enough they can submit.

Fortunately I only have to do 3 months and I will be finished. I really didn't see this coming so quickly. Don't get me wrong, if they said be at the hospital tomorrow morning for surgery, I would in a heartbeat. I just didn't expect them to say they were going to submit. I already have my bag packed (I have a few control issues ) and even have my post op travel pillow in the trunk, so I say let's get this show on the road!
