crystal light and heartburn, is there any connection?
I don't usually have issues with reflux or heartburn, but last night I got a pretty nasty case of heartburn. It was after eating a little off plan and I chalked it up to fried food and carbs, etc. Well, just now I got an intense, almost debilitating case of heartburn. I scrambled to find relief, and thank goodness we had a bottle of Tums here in the office (which worked immediately).
The only thing that I can attribute to both instances is that I had some Crystal Light Raspberry Ice to drink. Today I've eaten on plan 100%. I just recently started drinking crystal light again after months of just drinking lightly flavored water, so I'm thinking that may have done it. It was very, very bad heartburn. The kind that makes you want to curl up and rock, it's was so much ick and pain in my chest and throat. I also kinda have a weird headache that seems to come along with it, and an ache in my back a bit still. It's really weird.
Has anyone ever had heartburn caused by something as mundane as Crystal Light? I think I'm going to start taking my PPI again, just in case, but it is so weird that this popped up two days in a row and honestly the only thing that I can say for sure both times was drinking that stuff.

Yep my girlfriend and I had the same exact issue on the grape flavor really bad and grape should not give you heartburn .it is not you or you're diet or going off of them and splurging.I believe crystal light is screwing with the recipes like other company's have .Pepsi and coke a cola taste like mold now days .not great like it use to I could drink a case a day now can't stand it .my mom says chocolate gives her super bad heartburn which makes no since .just like I use to live hamburger helper now when u cook the stuff the meat smells god awfully like rotten meat .& hormel.chille I use to eat constantly since I was a kid that stuff taste so bad now .all I can say is I hope that they have lost tons of millions of dollars now just like quaker oatmeal did the same thing cut out one ingredient 2 save a buck I'm sure .taste awfully now also will never buy it again .I was raised on that stuff growing up so I no they messed with that recipe for sure .I hope just like Budweiser people boycott them and others from purchasing there products .these medical pharmisutical company want to insure everyone has to have surgerys or on pills .of some kind of they do not make money flat out plain and simple
