What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I'm willing to skip Friday and say why couldn't it be Saturday when I woke up this morning. So tired, no one in my house wanted to sleep last night.
QOTD: Depends on which day you ask me. I've definitely seen somethings in my time that make me wonder, but not sure I'm ready to say the really exist.
Time since surgery: 4 months
B: double scoop unjury shake
S: Virginia Ham
L: Rotisserie Chicken
D: Family is having pizza so I'm probably going to have more rotisserie chicken.
TOTALS: Cals: 675 Protein: 104 Carbs: 13 Fat: 14
Trying to prove that I don't need another protein shake in the evening. I rarely ever get around to it, usually because I'm too tired, but I usually get over 80g of protein in even without so I'm not sure on why my Nutritionist is so set on me having it.

Good Morning! Today should be nice and we might get rain tomorrow which should hit San Francisco where my daughter is headed to a field trip to Alcatraz-yikes!
QOTD: I almost feel like you do...where if you are "looking" for things you might "see" them but I don't want to doubt they exist either.
My menu is pretty much the same as yesterday..eating the last of the apple chardonnay sausage-it wasn't my favorite...
Time since surgery: 20 months
B: SF latte, egg beaters with shredded cheese, slice of bacon
L: TJ smoked apple chardonnay chicken sausage, carrots and a string cheese
S: SF latte, Lemon Greek yogurt, a boiled egg and beef jerky
D: Chicken patty, FF cottage cheese and SF pudding with toasted coconut
E: 6 miles this morning and elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1195 Protein:138 Carbs:77 Fat:30
Have a great one!
Good morning everyone! I'm running late again, work has been rattling my cage in the wee hours of the morning. I'm going on 3 weeks with no weight loss, and it's so upsetting, because I have been doing all the right stuff for eating. I need to start exercising more. BUT, when I went to the doctor and I am now officially off my high blood pressure meds, so that's a bit of good news for me.
ANYWAYS, QOTD: I'm the staunchest non-believer in all things of the sort. We're all stardust.
B: iMetabolic protein shake
L: Starkist 80 calorie tuna pack
S: Boiled egg
D: Unsure, something "meaty" or another protein shake
I hope everyone has a great day!
Happy Thursday, everyone. As you will see, my plan today is completely up in the air. My firm closes at 12:30 for a staff appreciation lunch. This year, it's at an Italian restaurant. The office administrator knows about my surgery, so I'm hoping there's a choice on the menu that is not a pasta dish. I haven't had any pasta in 2 years and don't feel like breaking that streak today. If there's nothing appropriate on the menu, I'll just enjoy the company and have a late lunch back at the office. I have a hamburger patty or a pouch of tuna waiting in reserve.
KQOTD - YES, 100% without a doubt in my mind, yes. My oldest friend in the world is named Jeff Roth. Growing up, his mother was basically my second mom, and she referred to me as the daughter she never had. When I was in college, she passed away as a result of a car accident. Fast forward to my Law School Graduation . . . As you walk across the stage, they announce your name and give you a replica diploma . . . my middle name is Ruth . . . however, my diploma reads Stacy ROTH. Now they take the information from your official transcript and ROTH is nowhere on any of my documents. That had to be Carol claiming ownership for a part of my degree. Also, she ALWAYS wore the same perfume . . . Estee by Estee Lauder. Since she passed, I'll at random times, smell her perfume. For example, I'll be in the grocery store and the only one in the aisle, and I'll get a whiff of Estee. I was out with my mother on mother's day and we were sitting on a patio having brunch. All of a sudden . . . Estee. One more example. She was a surgical nurse at the hospital where I had my surgery. There is a plaque hanging in one of the ORs dedicated to her and her service to the hospital. I was in the OR on the day the plaque was hung and dedicated. My doctor has an operating room that is "his" (just where he typically does his surgeries) but he scheduled my gallbladder surgery on a day he typically doesn't operate in an OR that isn't "his." Sure enough, it was the OR where her Plaque is. As they were wheeling me in . . . Estee . . . Is it all in my head??? Maybe. But I'd like to think that it's real and that it's her way of telling me she's watching over me. Ok, enough about my paranormal stories . . . at least she's a friendly ghost!!\
Here's my half-baked plan:
B: Turkey, pesto and cheese, Latte made with 4 oz fairlife milk
L: ?????
D: New York Strip
S: Dannon light and fit
I've been letting too many snacks creep in . . . 4-5 somersaults here . . . a spoonful of ice cream there. It needs to stop and today is the day. No more deviating from my posted menu.
Have a great day, everyone.
Oooh, your "paranormal" experience is crazy! Sometimes I'll be thinking about my mom and wishing she was still with me and then I'll hear something on the radio that reminds me of her (like Bridge Over Troubled Water). I'd like to think that it's her way of reaching out. It might be silly, but it's kind of comforting.
I love that! My very first concert was Simon & Garfunkel in Central Park. My whole family went and it was amazing. I was 11. LOL
