Rain has stopped here in Illinois and weather is supposed to be beautiful today. I switched seasons in my closet weekend and loving the chance to wear clothes I haven't worn since last spring. I never cease to be amazed that they fit from one year to the next too! That never happened before surgery for sure! Post op 43.75 months and weight at 119.2 today. Exercise will be 3.2 miles at the park with Lily after lunch and 30 minutes on the bike. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili with cheese D 31/2 oz baked chicken 1/2 c green beans S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some wise choices!
I did my seasonal change last week, and was thinking..this will probably be my last big purge of 'too big' clothes. Trying to figure out maintaining and where my 'happy weight' is....
I have done at least 4 or 5 major purges of my closet since having surgery...where I literally tried everything on. I hadn't thought I'd lost that much weight since last summer, but when you are smaller the sizes change quicker...

Ha, I don't believe in ghosts at all. My husbands entire extended family tells all kinds of stories about their "encounters" and they all truly believe, but I just think it's imagination running wild.
M1 - Unjury protein shake
M2 - chicken and guac
M3 - chicken salad
M4 - not sure yet - probably more chicken

Morning AV. I'm tired today, and I think it's because it's raining already. When I left for the gym at 5:15 it was dry out but now it's a nice rain. It smells like spring and I love it, but I have to say that it makes me sleepy. They posted my birthday pic from the gym yesterday and I love it so much. Here is the collage they posted. I'm really starting to feel at home here at this gym, and I love that the trainers know you by name when you come in. It's really a positive atmosphere. They have a running club and do lots of 5ks and I'm going to sign up for one on Mother's Day that they are doing.
As for your QOTD: I don't know if I believe in "ghosts" but I do believe in the supernatural. I have had a few experiences that can't be explained, unless I'm actually a whackadoo. I can't say if the things I have experienced are ghosts or just entities, but they are there. I do believe in God, and have had a personal physical experience that took away all doubt of His existence. I do not judge anyone for their belief or unbelief, because I think it's a very personal thing.
As for my menu and birthday yesterday, I kinda went a little off the rails. I ended up having half a roast beef sub (with some toasted bun) and then I had some dessert. I logged it, and my calories were all right but my carbs were upward of 80g, calories were at about 900. Resetting AGAIN today. Birthdays and anniversary are over and no more splurging!
8.5 months since surgery
B: 1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 slice of velveeta. 1/2 scoop Quest protein shake made with 6oz unsweetened almond milk (at home after the gym) and coffee with cream and splenda. I eat at work at about 8:45, but I think I need a little something at home after my workouts.
L: Zucchini noodle lasagna
D: boneless chicken breast in the slow cooker and steamed broccoli (if the broccoli is still good)
S: Carbmaster yogurt
Totals:
Calories 694 Protein 77 Carbs 21 Fat 36
I have not logged an evening snack yet. Not sure what I'll have, though I think I might just wait a little longer to eat and then try to skip the evening snack. Or maybe I'll have more chicken, I put a lot in the slow cooker this morning.
As far as derailments go, you barely got off the tracks.... it is more the mental derailment that gets us. I think it is OK to have celebration days, and eat something we don't normally eat. You did a great job of keeping it within reason. We just can't fool ourselves and make everyday a celebration day....
