What's on your Monday Menu RNY'ers ?
Good morning! AV is MIA and I have a ton to get done today, so I'm starting this off.
Surgery is 5/2, I have my PATS apt in the morning.
Started the protein shakes this weekend, is going pretty well, I was "starving" the first day, but feel more normal today.
QOTD: Name one thing on your bucket list. For me: visiting Ireland. I saw a great deal today online and our anniversary is in Dec. I would love to make that happen, but not sure the Green Isle would be so green in December. Anyone know?

Good morning!!!
Ugh. I have the worst cold. I feel like the biggest crybaby EVER, I never get sick, now I feel like I'm sick all the time. I tried to convince myself it was allergies, but, um no. I can't deny it and I'm so busy at work staying at home is not an option. Thankfully, I have a private office far away from my colleagues with my own entrance, I'll just put a "quarantine" sign on the door.
Anyways, enough whining. I have no appetite, but I know I have to eat something - it's definitely a chicken soup kind of day.
QOTD: Mine is travel, too. But, either the Seychelles or Palau in Micronesia. I'm kind of "loosely" planning a trip, not that I'm dying.
B: Powerade and a yogurt protein smoothie
L: Chicken soup
D: More soup
Glad to know about the q-tip things...I tried the lozenges years ago and couldn't stomach them...

The Zicam zinc lozenges are amazing.
I can't believe they are still selling the intranasal q-tips, though. Topical zinc is well known to damage the olefactory nerve, causing permanent anosmia (inability to smell things). It should never be applied inside the nose.

Good Morning!
My family and I went off the grid this weekend and it was fantastic! Friends of the family have a huge piece of property up north with no electricity, no running water, and no way to use phones or wi-fi. The guys spent the day clearing trees, the paths, and whatever else needed to be done; while the "women-folk" played with the kids, went on the "Gator", and caught up. Everyone was a big filthy mess by the end, but we all had a great time. It's so nice to totally disconnect from technology once in a while!
QOTD: I really want to do a European Cruise, not sure what part though. I also want to own a donkey :)
