When will the hormonal, craziness end?

I have been really bipolar with my moods lately and I everyone has been telling me that it's because of the weight loss, my body is "freaking out".  Is this something that continues until you reach your maintenance weight, or is it just the initial shock to your body that causes it?  Or, am I just nuts, cause I should be really happy that I have lost 51 pounds, but I have been so moody lately.

Hey! I "feel your pain" so to speak. I am twelve days out and have been menstruating since the day after my surgery! I was beginning to think it was just me until I saw your comments. I'm going to call my Dr Monday if i'm still having this problem.

The surgery/weight loss really messed with my periods and my moods.  Some crazy PMS rage issues.  Seems to have improved over time as they are getting more regular again and I'm losing much less and slower now.  I found regular exercise helped take a bit if the edge off, but yeah....it's frustrating when you feel you can't control it.

Fat stores hormones, so the faster you lose, the more hormones are released. Expect it to improve as the weight loss slows.
