DEXA Scan next week
I had one done a couple of months ago and was amazed by the detail that it showed me. I even dropped my goal weight from 150 down to 140. I really wish I would have done it before my surgery and again when I met my goal. You are really lucky on the price. I had to pay around $200 out of pocket.

I can't get your link to work on my tablet... So I am confused. Does this Dexascan include bodyfat testing or is it just for bone density?
Even though it uses the same machine, when you go for medical bone density testing that is all it shows. The software the use with the body fat testing includes bone density as well.
The commercial place I went to - Dexafit, always has a groupon, so you can get it for $75. Not $40, but not bad.
Excited for you if it includes body fat testing, I learned a lot from it. In my case I adjusted my goal upward.

I had one done last summer and it made me feel better about weighing in the 160's range. 121 lbs. of me is muscle (that was last summer) and the rest is 'stuff' basically. I look in the mirror sometimes, not always liking what I see, but that definitely helped me realize that I was muscular and muscle weighs more than fat, so when people tell me I look like I weigh 145 and in my mind I'm thinking ugh, I weigh 165, it helps me put things into perspective. I lift weights 5 days on average per week so I would expect that but I didn't know to that extent. It helped me in terms of body image and seeing myself. I would like to get another done this summer to compare :)
