What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I've never been so happy to be back to work in my life. The two-year old has had the flu since Friday and literally spent the last three days screaming due to an ear infection complication. I'm so glad that she is on the mend and hopefully that means I can get some sleep in the future.
Surprisingly I've been doing okay with my food choices through all that stress, haven't been on the scale in a while will do that and my measurements this weekend for my four month surgiversary.
QOTD: I drive a 2015 Dodge Durango R/T I need fast cars in my life and it by no means gets anything close to good gas mileage but it sure is fun to drive. It has heated and cooled seats and a heated steering wheel. I put that in the column of things I never know I needed and now not sure I could dethaw in the morning without it. Hubs drives a 2008 Suburban, we only have two kids but we had two german shepherds when we bought both these cars.

I had a minivan for years. Most recently a 2002 Honda Odyssey for 12 years. It was the best car during those child-toting years. It had an automatic sliding door, which was awesome for dropping the kids off at school. I wanted to keep it forever because it was paid off, but alas, after a blown engine (that I replaced with a used one), and then the beginnings of transmission trouble, I opted to get a non-Mom vehicle. I have a Lexus RX350 that I love (bought a 3 year old certified pre-owned version).
Menu today:
B: Premier Protein
L: Grilled chicken wrap
S: Laughing Cow light swiss cheese wedge, almonds
D: Grilled shrimp skewers (new fast food type seafood restaurant opened up and I bought 2 ala carte skewers with vegies for $8. So happy about this new place.)
Flying to Sacramento to see my daughter for a trip after work tomorrow and spend the night in Yosemite. Hope to do some light hiking and see some beautiful waterfalls.
Have a good weekend.
