What do you tell work?

I had my surgery Tuesday of spring break (I'm the cafeteria mgr at the High School here), got out of the hospital Thursday--delayed getting out cuz I was anemic, and I went back to work the following Monday, yes, just 3 days after I got out of the hospital!  LOL  And I told them I had hernia surgery...and I just didn't lift anything heavy for a few weeks.  It was a bit hard, and I did move slow, but it worked.  No one (aside from family, and you guys) knows I had WL surgery.  I didn't want anyone to judge, and quite frankly, it isn't anyone's business.  So, if you can, try to plan it around a holiday, or if you have any vacation time left.  Recovery is quite easy, in my opinion...just a few days of being sore.  Best of luck!

I am not telling work either. Only my immediate family know and my 1 co worker. I was thinking of telling them that I had my gallbladder removed. Which isn't a lie, I had it removed in 1996.  I work part time as a cook for a non profit meal site. I feel very private about the surgery.  I also live in a small town.
