What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Morning AV. Well, my hubby got called out of town late yesterday. He called me at 3:00pm and told me he had to book a flight to Missouri. He was at the airport before I left work. I used that excuse to totally **** on my plan for the day. I ordered pizza. I got the gluten free pizza with bacon and onions, which only has 120 calories and 7g of carbs per slice. I then ate three slices. My day did not end well and I was at nearly 1200 calories and 90g of carbs. Why is it that when my husband is not there, I go off the rails? I guess it's because I can easily hide my eating. He helps to keep me on track because he's been extremely good with his diet and he wouldn't have wanted to order pizza yesterday. Then I wouldn't have had the sugary snacks I did after the fact. I have to learn to deal with this and not rely on his presence to keep me in line. Gah, I hate all of this psychological bull****! Also, I didn't hit the gym this morning because he was gone and I didn't feel comfortable that I'd be home in time for my oldest to get to school if he had to get up with the baby. I'll be there in the morning working extra hard.
As for words, I like the word Hyperbole and use it as often as I can. Which is suprisingly pretty often. But what I really do is cuss a lot, so I have been doing the opposite with that, which is trying to stop. I have a 2 year old who is really coming into his own verbally, and has repeated a few words recently. I am more mindful of my language now, but it's hard.
On another, better note, my scale inched down a few ounces this morning despite my eating last night, and BEFORE I had a giant poop! I can't wait until tomorrow morning to weigh again. I was tempted to run up and strip naked to get on the scale again after my poop, but I was just too pressed for time this morning. I'm going to be super good with my menu today and resist all extra carbs. I can do this, I will do this!

My dad always got annoyed when I was a teen and would say things like, it's "the worst". He'd always say, "the worst????". So last year I got him a t-shirt that says something like: "Hyperbole is the single greatest thing in the whole entire world!"

Morning gang! Finally we have some decent weather here! Temps are going up at the end of the week and lots of SUNSHINE, its gives me so much ENERGY, it makes Daisy into an Energizer Bunny! Yesterday I ran 5km at lunch, went home fed the dogs, then went out and did another 3.5 km run, got home and hubby was home so we took the dogs out for a long walk for 5.5km and when we walk them in the subdivision we make them hustle! Thank you sunshine I am energized!!!!

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
Today I had to haul my #@# into my 'old' office to work for the day- It is an hour away one way so was not super thrilled to get up extra extra early for this. then my badge wouldn't let me in, and as a bonus, I was at the wrong building. Plus I have not been in the office for over 4 years so I forgot the shortcuts of how to get there- I was a hot mess and late for my 8:30 which I was hosting- so I had to cancel it which is not cool. 1st world problems, right? On the plus side, some of these people have not seen me for 4 years and I'm 'skinny' to them,,, hahah- One gal in particular told me I was an inspiration and wants my surgeons info. I was glad I could share this with her and answer her questions.
Anyway- up and moving forward. i hurt my back last week on the darn bed on vacation and it has been giving me issues since which makes me not want to jog to mess it up more. I will just need to suck it up and move my $#$.
Ok, words- I do like mellifluous and someone once told me my voice was mellifluous. that was pretty cool of them. I went through a phase where I would name my passwords for everything crap-- something, crapbag, craphead, etc. That was fun. My current buzzword is umm- because i have a habit of saying it when I'm speaking and that in the work world is unacceptable apparently. So my goal is to NOT ever say it.
Food is up in the air today, apparently jason's deli is catering something today and so I have no idea what that will bring but I do have a protein bar if it comes to it....
