What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

You will get the hang of it! Keep at it, and things will start going your way (meaning pounds will start going away to the great pound receptacle in the sky . . .)
Morning my beautiful peeps! I am feeling kinda wobbly in my upper body today, I finally got the hang of burpees at the gym and our trainer had this weird circuit training set up. a minute of pushups on this weird sling thing, a minute of side to sides on a low step, a minute of ball slams with a 20lb ball (that is rough) a minute of squats with a hex bar (I only used the 45lb bar and not additional weight), a minute of inclince chest press, a minute of flipping a tractor tire back and forth and a minute of planking on a bosu ball. Seriously, I did like 4 reps of that, after doing 100 burpees and 20 minutes of abs. I think my muscles are crying, though I'm not in any pain right now, just feel wobbly. I feel so strong, and I am going to go every day this week. I locked myself into a 3 month contract, so I'll feel obligated to go often. It's so convenient to my house, I just have to make sure I'm up by 5 and out of the house by 5:15.
KQOTD: your answer reminded me of mine. In the summer of 2014, my sisters in law gifted a pontoon rental to my FIL for fathers day. Said pontoon boat was on LAKE ERIE! So we packed up all of my husbands siblings, mom and dad and ALL THE KIDS and went out onto LAKE ERIE on a PONTOON BOAT! I am yelling those words because my youngest was about 8 months old and I was on the verge of a panic attack the whole time. The waves on Lake Erie are high. Nothing bad happened, but I didn't enjoy myself at all. So this past summer they did the whole thing again. I was having nightmares about taking my 20 month old active toddler on this boat trip. So I backed out and instead of going with them, Kal and I went to visit my mom for the afternoon. I will never go on a pontoon boat on one of the Great Lakes ever again. Ever.

I found the key to weight loss for me is whining about being stalled and slowing down, lol. My weight has dropped back to the lowest this morning. I lost 2.5lbs of water weight overnight. Goodbye vacation naughtiness, hello back on track.

you are kind of awesome, aren't you?
I was out of town last week--never heard how your race went. Quick recap for me?

Good for you! And look at your cute running tights. I love them. But mostly, I admire you for your run. I used to run a lot before injuring my Achilles tendon--and lifted, etc. It is such a great feeling to see yourself improving every week, isn't it?--more miles, more weight lifted, more reps! From your posts, it sounds like you are on that happy path of achieving physical milestones all around. So proud of you.
Hi menu friends! Great question, Kristen! I would have to say, I accidentally ate cow brain soup while I was in Turkey and I swear to god I almost projectile vomited right there. I thought I was getting lentil soup lol. I have had friends in Mexico tell me to try "tacos de seso" (brain tacos) but ummmm no thanks...
I am back from an EPIC bachelor party extravaganza in NoLa. OMG it was fun. We had a balcony on bourbon St one night (pic below), a crazy scavenger hunt, boozy brunch and more! My drinking was not on plan, but my food wasn't the worst (other than a beignet one morning). I did things like order a shrimp po boy and just eat the (fried) shrimp, or order fried chicken and skip the sides. We also went to a buffet for breakfast and although they had stations with EVERY FOOD EVER, all I did was eat crab lol. I got my money's worth ;)
And, I am up .4 lbs...could be much worse.

You are killing it in that black jumpsuit! I'm so short that it would look like a onesie, but I love the look on others!
