First appt
It differ at every practice. My first appointment I met with the nutritionist to get a snap shot of my weight history, and how I was eating then, and recommendations for how to eat as I prepped for surgery. I met with the surgeon who went over my medical history and the yes of surgeries, my lifestyle, etc. It was a long, relaxed conversation with him. I also met with the program coordinator who basically reinforced what the other two said. I left with a ton of referrals for tests and a binder that outlined everything in detail.

My first appointment was very similar to this, except I had a very quick conversation with my surgeon, probably 10 minutes. My first visit was mostly with the nutritionist and nurse practitioner.

Hi Teri, every centre/hospital is DIFFERENT. I suggest calling your centre back and asking to speak to someone and get more detailed info, or if you can email someone there and get it in writing.
If you post what center and doctor you are going with someone else on here might be going to the same place or someone might have already had surgery with that centre/surgeon.
Good luck!
