What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
AV so sorry to hear about your friend. I HAVE those childcraft books, bought them at a yard sale.
QOTD: I loved my first potty (I probably just wanted to see poo and laugh about it), any of the highlights magazines, those fun math and English books with the fun pens, mad libs, I woudl read tons of books so that I could earn those personal pan pizzas for the book it program.
Back from vacation! missed yalls postings~ I did learn to jewelry solder and made the coolest pendant necklace from a vintage cloisonne button! It is amazing and I will be making more, just need to buy a ton of soldering stuff now!
My liquids were not good yesterday, two cases of the foamies and dry heaving. Sooo, Im drinking 2x the amount today and making sure I chew slower and smaller bites.
B: carbmaster smoothie/decaf
L: leftover ribs
D: not sure- supposed to go to support group tonight but my DH's interior design portfolio showing is tomm night and I need to make like 4 things for the reception. All by 12:30 tomm....
Exercise- behind on jogging - got in all my steps on vacation but didn't jog on my 5k training, so I feel bad about that.

Yes! The Disney books with the records! I spent hours and hours and hours with those! Were your such books the ones where the books were part of the record album cover? I am 52 now, so I suspect this was for me what video watching is for many kids now.
QOTD: When I was really small my favorite book was Hop On Pop by Dr. Suess. Probably because my mother HATED reading books like Dr. Suess. Anything with tongue twisters or rhyming, she didnt want to read it. So of course those were all I wanted! HAHA Man what a jerk kid I was.
Saturday was a LONG day at my daughter's karate tournament. She brought home 1 trophie in sparring (fighting), but I am most proud of her for taking charge of her whole school since she was the only black belt there...at 13! They students are supposed to bow to the Grand Masters when she walks by them, my Hannah was the ONLY one I saw doing it! She is a good kid.
I also got MOMMY OF THE YEAR award for finding a Babe Ruth softball team that needed a 7th grader!! waaahoooo I may kick myself for this later, since I think it is a traveling team. ugh Oh well, the kid is happy.
Saturday was also a horrible, hormone induced eating frenzy for me. YIKES. Then yesterday I did well, but ate some mixed nuts that made me sick for hours and hours. I threw up like 4 times and then had ZERO energy. yuck
This morning has already gotten off to a bad start, hello chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. Its the straight and narrow from here on out!
1 year since surgery

How wonderful for your daughter Melissa Congratulations to her! I know many who compete in Karate competitions, I know how much work they put into this. I've seen the good and the bad side of it. The dojo where my dd used to take competes almost weekly this time of year, but the biggest thing they teach their is respect. I'm sure your daughters dojo must be the same.
Congrats on finding a softball team too.
