Help- with foamies??
I've been doing awesome till today. no issues whatsoever. I drank a sip of coffee this afternoon, my mouth started watering like it does before I puke, and I ran to the bathroom and heaved. nothing came out and 5 minutes later I was fine. I ate a normal dinner, and then about 1 hour later drink a sip of water and my calcium. Same thing happened.
Any thoughts?
Starting to worry...
Usually you get the foamies because food is stuck...you ate too fast, didn't chew enough or it was too dry. It is the body's way of lubricating things and trying to get it to move along....
Do you take an acid reducer?..that is my only other thought... creating acid

That is odd. Usually, like Cynthia said, foamies are pretty quick, and come from too big a bite and too fast. That doesn't fit your event. With just liquids, foamies can be a sign of a stricture. But that's a wild guess. Could be nothing, a bad day, or a stomach bug anyone could get.

I have definitely had my foamies wait an hour, but usually I don't really feel okay in between. I feel nauseous the whole time before eventually throwing up. But I have also never felt like that from coffee--just stuck food, so I agree that it sounds like it might be acid. I used to have really bad acid when I had my lapband and taking vitamins (even chewables) were almost guaranteed to make me feel that way. I'd talk to the doc and let them know.

Something may have been stuck and the heaving got it loose.
Cold - icy drinks - my pouch hated it for a very long time. Nausea may indicate dehydration or beginning of GB issues...

I didn't realize that's what "foamies" is (are)? I thought foamies was when you eat too fast or too much and it kind of gurgles in your throat and feels stuck in your chest. What you're describing (the mouth watering thingy before you throw up) started happening to me a few months ago, out of the blue. Turns out I have an ulcer. Could it possibly be an ulcer?
