Could you tell me what you are taken for supplements, the brand, dosage, and how often you take them.  If you are feeling fine or having problems.  I really trying to understand what the best way to go is.  Thanks

Did your Bariatric Surgeon or Nutritionist not cover  that with you?

You can go here to see what is recommended by ASMBS:

I use PatchMD topical patches, but everyone is different. Some use Bariatric Advantage, Celebrate and Bari Life Vitamins.

I am sure others will chime in to tell you what they use, but brand is really an individual decision.

Good luck!

I use the multivitamin patch every day, plus 4 citrical petites, 2 vitamin D (dry), and iron each day.  B-12 every other day.  This is the current ****tail based on blood work and I feel great and my levels are all in the normal range.

I'm going to ask my surgeon/NUT about this at my May appointment. It is certainly less expensive than what I'm using now. But I think I would be more likely to remember to use it! Since I like to swim during the day (and the pool opens in May!), I think I would put this on at bedtime and take off mid morning.

yea that would work.  I leave mine on all day, but I believe it actually only needs 8-12 hours for absorption.

Are you taking 1000mcg of b12 every other day?

The patches are PatchMD.com, and there is an ad with a 30% off coupon code on this site. They offer way more than just the multivitamin, too.

I'm also a patcher. :)  LOVE them! I don't supplement with much else other than my patch. I take Ferocon which is a B12 and iron pill, I take a PPI (Protonix), and I take acidophilus daily. Then once a week I wear a B12 patch and a few times a week randomly I will use a B12 sublingual. So far so good, but I am still figuring all of it out.
