What to look forward to Lap Band to Gastric ByPass
Hello,
I had my Lap Band removed in February and getting everything to have Gastric ByPass soon. I know what needs to be done before the operation my curiosity is how did one react after post op and down the road on eating.
I have never been a thin person always heavy the worst now at my heaviest.
So to look at myself and say I cannot wait to look like I used to I never have and so I am kind of anxious, scared and excited but trying so hard to stay positive.
I would love to hear of your personal experience.
Thank You and have a great day

I revised from band to bypass and couldn't be happier. I've been on this site for 6+ years and don't ever remember someone regretting their revision.
My story isn't exactly like yours--the band helped me lose and keep it off, it was just making me sick. But I lost a lot more, a lot more quickly, with the bypass. It's a very different surgery from the band. Almost nothing about how you feel after eating is the same.
Oddly, I can also eat more with the bypass than I could with with the band, but it works, because I can finally eat the right foods for a healthy lifestyle.
