Today I joined a gym!
This is a first for me. Today my family and I joined a gym. I am so excited to lift some weights and tone up my slimming body. A customer on my mail route asked me if I will be embarrassed to work out in front of people. I said, "Heck no! I don't care what they think. I have worked way too hard so far to care what anyone thinks!" I carry mail for a living, so I walk more than eight miles a day. I get out of work and I am exhausted. Doctors to this point have told me walk, walk, and walk some more to lose weight. Well when you walk eight or more miles a day, it's hard to lose weight just from walking. Over the years people have asked me how can I be heavy when I walk so much. As most of you can agree, activity isn't the only thing that makes you overweight. I am an emotional eater through and through. Now that I can't eat my emotions away, I am hoping to sweat them off.
Good for you! I am proud of my self either. I met with a personal trainer today and after one session already feel better! I will meet her once a week and the commitment is what I need!
