Numbness and Tingling in Hands in feet B12 and B1 is fine any ideas??
Hi, I am new to this and have pretty much done everything on my own thus far. I did not tell anybody about my surgery, but I feel like I need to talk to somebody in a similar situation. Does anybody have numbness and tingling in there hands and feet. My hands and feet are also really super sensitive to cold. I have had blood test and my B1 and B12 are fine. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks so much in advance.
It is not uncommon for us to be cold or sensitive to cold after surgery. How far out are you from surgery are you?
If your B labs are within normal limits, have you discussed your tingling and numbness in your hands and feet with your surgeon? I don't remember having tingling and numbness in my hands/feet prior to my deficiency, so I would definitely say you need to discuss this with your surgeon to get to the bottom of it.
Good luck.

I am 11 months out and I haven't talked to my surgeon since my surgery, I have talked to there office and she is referring me to a Neurologist. The soonest I could get in is in May. I was just wondering if anyone else had similar problems. This has been going on for months. My hands and feet are what is really sensitive to cold. For example if I touch a ice cube tray or glass with ice water my hand will go numb and turn white and is so cold it that it hurts. Thanks for your reply.
What is your B-12 level? Many of us have to keep in on the high end of the acceptable range (or even a little above range) or we get the same symptoms.

My B-12 the last time they checked it was 1406 because they told me to take 1000 per day but before that it was 412. My B1 was 102. If you don't mind me asking how much b-12 do you take everyday? I wish I could just my supplements figured out so I would feel good. Thanks for your response.
"Fine and fine" is not the same... when my B12 drops below 800 - I feel very tired... below 500... I get other symptoms..
also - what was your B6? high B6 can mimic low B1 or B12... B6 can be toxic
