I can tolerate a slice of light bread or roll, but I prefer not to, except on a very rare occassion.  I did have one piece of bruschetta when we went out on Saturday.  I tolerated that very well.

This picture is EXACTLY why you never sign up for an early season (or late) marathon in a northern state!!

But I do give the runners complete respect for going out there and getting it done.

time since surgery? 3 weeks tomorrow~~ whoop whoop

Had a good day at work, got in at 8, left at 4:15, went home cooked up dinner for hubs and daughter, then rested/relaxed for the evening. Had a pretty good sleep.  full disclosure. i took a teaspoon full of nyquil. i had to. i had to have a good night's rest.

QOTD- i am originally from Toronto- there is a place off Weston road- putting this here b/c Daisy may know it... but there are a few great hot italian sandwich (or sangwich) shops in TO.   My Fav is a veal sandwich with cheese, sauce and hot peppers on an italian bun. OR a Peameal bacon sandwich on a kaiser roll from the St. Lawrence Market in downtown Toronto. in my new life, i can have the insides, but those buns will never happen again.

morning jumpstart-80% decaf  latte with fairlife milk,

bkfst- 1 tbsp cottage cheese, 1 tsp chopped egg (found it on the salad bar at work yesterday, so i used that as my lunch and had the leftovers when i got to my desk this am. I am probably waiting too long for food in my stomach in the morning, but its how i have always been. Coffee first.

snack/pre lunch prermier protein

post op appts at 1pm- so this is tricky- to fit lunch in before that...

afternoon snack- ricotta cheese

dinner- hopefully i will be cleared for soft chicken. Taco tuesday at our house. making chicken breasts in Instant pot pressure cooker- which i totally love. Great for making meat fast and soft!

if not, i think i will have a shake.

AV, I just moved away from the face-numbing cold of the central prairies. The wind here in SW Ontario has an edge, but my nostrils do not freeze shut when I inhale. Much better!

QOTD: My favorite sandwich used to be peanut butter, banana and honey on thick, crusty, fresh-baked whole wheat bread, preferably warm from the oven. Actually, the crusty warm bread with butter and honey was even better. The smell of fresh baked bread .... Oh, it was an experience!

Food today: NO BREAD

B: ham

L: chicken

D: ham and eggs (not green)

S1: turkey bites, S2: yogurt

Yes, that's exactly how you know it's too cold; when your nostrils freeze together when you inhale.  HAAA!

Good morning everyone! Well, what's not to love about a sandwich? Seriously? Grilled cheese, grilled bologna and cheese, philly cheese steak, yum.

On a positive note: I was looking at labs I had done last week, and since November (when I started this weight loss effort), my cholesterol has been trending down and my HgbA1c also decreased by 0.2. (I was never diabetic, but on the highest end of normal). That's a NSV for the win.

B- 2 hard boiled eggs, 1/2 c. cottage cheese

L- 3/4 c. refried beans with pico & cheese, pepperoni stick

D- 2 chicken soft tacos

S- irish tea w/sugar free Italian creamer (weaning myself off the fully leaded stuff)

Totals: 964 cals

Morning y'all.  Couldn't post Friday cause I took off and went shopping!  My sis and I went to Warrenton Tx where they have a huge outdoor antique fair twice a year once in March-April and then again in Sept-Oct.  It last about 2 weeks.  We had a blast as usual.  I had no problem getting over 20,000 steps in that day.  I also was a little bad on my eating I had 2 licorice sticks and a mini fried donut.  And a sausage kolache.  It was all so good.  Then yesterday I had to go get my esophagus dilated again.  My Doctor said it had started to close up again and will probably keep closing so I will have to be dilated periodically forever.  I wasn't happy with that news.  I was still sort of stoned from the anesthesia so I forgot to ask about a stent but will call her.

QOTD--I loved loved loved sandwiches.  Tuna, ham and cheese, pb & j with dill pickle, turkey and cheese, peanut butter and banana.  I can't pick just one favorite.  I have found that everyone makes their peanut butter and banana different.  We always have mushed everything up together.  My friend puts the peanut butter on her sandwich and then slices the banana. ( which of course is so wrong).
