I love this cartoon! Perfect! But for me it was my hands this morning. I was chipping ice for over an hour, and my fingers were completely numb. It took another hour before the feeling came back. I hope this is it for ice and snow.

Food's the same today. Quest bar for breakfast, meat later, cheese tonight for a snack.

QOTD: I have ham and cheese sandwiches fairly often. I use the Sara Lee thin bread, 45 calories a slice. Anything thicker than that fills me up really fast. I just can't do much bread.

I used to enjoy a nice pastrami sandwich, but usually only every couple of months. But pastrami is so moist you need a big bulkie roll to contain it. Pastrami turns regular bread into a soggy mess. Yuck. And eating pastrami with a fork is just wrong.

I'm not sure what's on my menu for today, yet.  I got my upgraded diet yesterday and I need to study that and see what I can eat.  On the way back from Omaha yesterday I got so excited about my upgraded diet that I tried to eat a hamburger (bun and all) - BIG mistake!  After a couple bites I was sick and quit.  Just because my Nut added beef to my list doesn't mean I can grab a burger!  Stupid me!

QOTD:  First thing that came to mind was a Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich - YUM, but then someone mentioned Grilled Cheese - even yummier!  Yeah, I'm a kid at heart!

Switching to dense proteins can be tough...take it slow. Are you on pureed? I never pureed anything, just hand chopped it really small. Some people eat babay food...ugh I could never do that.

I got upgraded from pureed to soft foods.  One step before regular diet.  :)  Yes, I know I need to take things very slow and chop the food up really tiny.  And chew it up really well, too.  And a hamburger BUN???  What was I thinking!?  LOL!

My first soft food was lobster on my birthday (it was on the approved list!). I threw up for about 6 hours off of one bite.  Worst day ever. But in the plus side, I never want to eat lobster again! #cheapdate

Throwing up for 6 hours after just one bite!  That sounds horrible!  No wonder you never want to eat lobster again!
