What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Good Morning!  You guys, please remind me that milk is no longer my friend.  I decided to have some Ovaltine on Friday morning before I left for work because I made some for my son and it looked so damn good.  Well, you can probably guess what happened about 30 minutes later.  Let's just say I needed to make an emergency pit stop at the Wegmans on Onondaga Blvd.  I actually called my boss from the bathroom stall to tell her I would not be in that day.  HA!  Post-op life.

How was everyone's weekend?  We got an early season snow event; probably 10 inches of snow fell yesterday.  And guess what?  It's still.  effing. snowing.  I had already taken the snows off the cars and put away all the winter gear.  It took me like 20 minutes to find my boots yesterday so I could walk the dog, who was not at all happy to go for walkies.  He kept looking up at me like I was somehow responsible for his snow covered coat.  LOL

QOTD!  Do you have a famous relative? Anyone in your family tree?  Sadly, I am not related to anyone famous (that I know of), but my Dad played drums with Harry Chapin when he was in college.  Extra points to anyone who knows who that is.

Time since surgery:  20+ months

B:  Friendship Fit to Go cottage cheese and 6 cinnamon raisin bagel chips

S:  nada

L:  Ham salad with pork rinds and a cheese stick

D:  More ham because goddammit if my husband wants me to bake a ham he's going to eat until it's gone.  I think I'll warm mine up in a pan with some sharp cheddar and the guys can eat the leftover gnocchi and carrots.

TOTALS:  Cals:  883  Protein:  73  Carbs:  39  Fat: 49

Have a great day!  If anyone tells me it's sunny and warm where you are, I unfriend you!

Morning AV. The weekend here was snowy, cold, windy, and very wonderful.

No one famous in my family, at all. Not remotely. But of course I know Harry Chapin. I still listen to some of his stuff now and then. And I actually saw him perform a couple of times. I really mourned his passing.

Here is my meager food from yesterday. I didn't eat much, but I did have a great lunch with Juniper.

I wonder why I never drink enough on weekends? I think I am just bad at everything when I'm not in a routine. I've been at work for 4.5 hours today and already had 60oz, but had less than that all day on Sat & Sun. Again, I need a life chaperone!

Good Morning!

I am not ready for it to be Monday already.

We took the kids to see Zootopia, it was super cute! One of better kids movies to come out lately. But our oldest woke up yesterday morning with a fever, headache, and vomiting. I'm just hoping it doesn't spread to the rest of us. Luckily he is with my parents today, so I didn't have to call in. Sometimes it sucks trying to "climb the corporate ladder" with young kids at home. I try to remind myself that they are always with someone who loves them very much, and I have no problems getting scheduled time off so I never have to miss the important stuff. Still sucks sometimes.

My eating could have been better on Saturday. Overall, it was an ok weekend food wise. I really need to start planning on the weekends like I do during the week...

No famous relatives. But my husband LOVES Harry Chapin. Whenever I hear his name all I ever think is "30-thousand pounds of bananaaaas"!

OMG, the bananas song!  LMAO  That's so great that your parents are able to help out.  We live far from any family, so we either had to take time off from work or Michael would just have to tough it out.  LOL  I'm kind of a hardass that way, but thankfully he's been a very healthy kid so school absences have been very few.

We're generally in the "suck it up cupcake" camp as well...I sent him to school once because I was fairly confident he was faking it, until they called me because he fell asleep in class and ended up having strep. Oops. But really unless he's visably sick I have a hard time, because he is also the kid that will insist on occasion that sitting still for too long gives him a belly ache...
