Tips on not drinking water during and after meals
Tip: Never allow a drink to be brought to the table for you. If it's there you'll be tempted. Once you've tried it, it becomes a luxury. Foods slide away and you can maybe eat a little more, and feel less full. I had a lap band and drinking was a crutch that I could lean on to get foods to go on through. I did try this with my 4 week old sleeve, sure enough I had about 1/4 of a cheese stick and sipped some water and I felt it go on through! All I needed to try because I now know it'll do it.
Do not drink with food, it's evil.

JB, thank you for the link! It was a great depiction of what happen with the pouch (funnel) if you drink water with or after a meal. Thanks again!

I have at least 4 32 oz drinks per day, and usually it will be right before I eat. The only trouble with that is sometimes it fills me up too much and I can't eat my food :)
I still do get thirsty sometimes after ameal, but I set the timer on my phone for an hour and do something else. Like have breakfast, set timer, take shower and get dressed and get distracted and get presto! It's been an hour and it's drink time. This also reminds me to drink enough...if I don't I have trouble with constipation despite our daily fiber.
