Crazy question about pre-op liquid diet
I have my RNY revision surgery scheduled for May 4th. My surgeon has me on a liquid diet starting two weeks prior to my surgery. I am going to Las Vegas on April 28th with some girlfriends and planned on having a few ****tails on our trip, does anyone know if you can have alcohol at all on the pre-op diet, or is that normally not allowed?
Definitely not on my pre op diet

Why would you risk going to Vegas so close to your surgery? You can't eat, or drink, plus the smoke in most places there may cause "second hand smoke.".. And if they test you before surgery - you may register positive for nicotine... If I were you - I would pass on that trip and book one 6 months later...

I think you need to talk to your Dr & therapist as to what you're doing b4 having revision surgery.

Even if it were allowed on a pre-op diet, I wouldn't drink. You want your liver (and the rest of your body) in the best shape before surgery.

stay home and focus on priorities. Revisions are a
Second hand smoke is just as bad as first hand smoke. It causes the internal tissues to be fragile and impairs their healing.
You are asking for trouble.big deal and shouldn't be taken lightly. If you are there you will cave.
You have gotten some great advice. I hope you take it. Stay home...plan the trip for after your surgery.
