What's on your Photo Friday Menu, RNYers

Ok, ok I will concede that the rock was perhaps a tad disappointing. But as Cynthia said the Mayflower was fun and I remember I loved the wax museum across the street - they had exhibits that breathed - their chests moved up and down and my 10 year old self thought that was just fabulous.
Plantation is great... Mayflower is fun...Rock.... as Grim said utter disappointment!

Fabulous pic! You two look just beautiful! Congrats on the scale loss, that's just awesome!! AMAW kept me full as well, very full.
Being on the road is super hard. I have already started planning for my husband and my road trip, we are driving to Florida April 21st to 30th. From our house its a 21-22 hour drive, we are kind of beasts in the car and go straight through, so only stops to go pee or get gas, so I need to figure out good protein snacks.
Sorry your friend is not supportive or even being a friend, that really sucks. But you have US!!!
Bacon and cheese melted sounds awesome, never thought of that... maybe its the new challenge, a Bacon & Cheese challenge! ABCAW!
I loved what you said, forget the 5 day pouch test, do AMAW! So to all you out there that need to get back on track, eat meat all week, do AMAW and tell me you are not full, satisfied and don't lose weight.
YAHOO on size 6, wow that's tiny, thrilled for you. Don't discount it, if it says its a size 6 then its a size 6. Not an impostor, just a new and improved version of Cynthia, like Cynthia 2.0.

When I travel I also am a beast...I try to time myself at stops..hahaha--- bathroom...food/drink/get gas as needed---back on the road. When I drive to my sons in Chicago...on way back...I will leave Chicago at 9am their time and get home to Long Island, NY (meaning I have to go through NYC) usually 1AM.... and I lose an hour as I cross time zones...
SO my thoughts on snacks - now that I did 13 1/2 hours in 2 days back and forth to DC during AMAW .... Hard boiled eggs can usually be bought at most rest stops, get the burger...no bun or lettuce wrapped. Starbucks if you don't mind dairy - lattes and I get venti tea lattes have a good serving of dairy. Jerky is good. I did break out the bacon jerky again when stuck in traffic... just had a tic tac 'condiment' to calm my mouth down...LOL. Of course bringing pre-made protein drinks helps as well.
Some of the gas stations at rest stops have a separate convenience store and sometimes that is quicker than getting in and out of the main rest stop with the big food court. If you are going down 95 and are in Maryland go to the Maryland House rest stop. (Mile marker in the 80's) If you go to the convenience store at the gas station they have a burger joint in their called Elevation Burgers. Grass-fed the whole 9 yards...but t least you feel like you are getting real food. had mine in a paper boat, although they would have wrapped in lettuce too. Someone on here turned me on to it and it saved me...meat!

If you are not going all meat, I think premeasured bags of nuts can be good, as well as Kays Naturals snacks. They are single serve and have 12g protein per bag. I like the Jalepeno mustard or the cinnamon pretzels...and their bags of cereal dry. They look like cherrios, I thing it's called honey almond. I actually find the cereal the most satisfying. But love the flavor and major crunch of the pretzels. Also those pre-sliced bags of apples and you can buy the little packets of single serve PB. I used to buy the Justin's at target...don't know if they still carry. I buy the Kays from Netrition or directly from them...they have a coupon here on OH. Justin's PB you can buy on Amazon in like a 12 pack. Not sure what you can get in Canada but check it out.
I am a driver, so I don't mind road trips at all....

My thought on Meat Week: the fact I was SSMO with above-average issues made me decide to steer clear of anything like a food challenge. It's also why I used to steer clear of "What's on your Menu" for fear it would trigger a craving. Then, I realized "What's on your Menu" is more like a gab fest--all about that. I did manage to download before/after photos but the photo sizes fill the screen. The buyer's of our house requested a new roof in the negotiations so I have roofers here today; the menu today is for their sake--a giant House Special pizza with beer. Yes, I'll throw away the crust and skip the beer. (Edited to try and add before and after family photos...thanks for the help)
About the photos. there are 2 ways to make them smaller. First once it's in the post, drag in the corners. What I think is the easier way... When you have the photo box open. Put a number like 300 in the first box where it says 'dimensions'. then just click on the second box and it will auto fill in a number. The default size is large, you just need to put a smaller number than the default.
