I loved meat/critter week. I think it was a great reset. I did prove to me as I move into the world of maintenance I will have to really pay attention. I lost 2.4 pounds but missed my Vegs. I am not surprised I am a habit eater since I make most of myl meals on Sunday. I am happy to have discovered egg salad and bacon again. They will become a staple.
I see my surgeon for the first time in over a year so think I might just ride this thru till the 8 th though as I said missing my Vegs.
Thanks for for putting meat week together it was fun to read the posts
till the next challenge. Eat bacon with everything it really is that good

Grim, love the pic!!! You're sooo tall!!!
I started out thinking there's no way I'll be able to do this. Well...I am happy to say I've been sticking to this and enjoying it a bit. I haven't had red meat in a while so I was a bit hesitant about diving in with that, so I've had a small amout here and there. Chicken and turkey have been getting me through. I haven't had any bowel problems whatsoever, but that could be due to all the green veggies I've been consuming! I will admit the first 3 days were tough for me. The cravings came crashing down, and I had to stay busy to take my mind off of that. Then, things turned around, and it wasn't AS difficult. My diet has been pretty much consistent:
B-almond milk based protein shake with walnuts
S-boiled egg
L-green leaf salad with roasted chicken or walnuts and lemon
S-beef jerky and broccoli
D-roasted chicken and steamed green beans
Although, this has been a *****allenging, I have actually enjoyed discovering whether or not I could stick to this as well as limit my calories and carbs. I consider this a huge deal and achievement, as I have an old lapband inside of me, which has been completely unfilled since 2010. Big thanks to Grim and Daisy for allowing me to join in on modified AMAW from the sidelines!
Just a side note, Grim posted that pic of the rib eye (in the shape of the U.S.) steak last week, and I've been craving one ever since. Gonna have to do a bit of research to see where I can find a good one ;)
