Meat week was great for me! It helped me get off carbs (grapes) and back on track. All meat was a little tough on my new 7 week pouch; so I stuck to protein (mainly fish) for most of the week. I'm down 4 pounds so far. I plan to continue eating this way because it's what works for me. Thanks all, for the challenge. Great pics everyone.

Hey Jo Jo, so glad you loved meat week! YAY for the scale loss, how awesome is down 4 lbs! You did great for only 7 weeks post op, and i love your statement that I plan to continue to eat this way because it works for me! DING DING DING you get the prize for "getting it". Keep that sentence in mind when you get tempted by carbs and or sugar, cuz you will, happened to all of us. At 7 weeks out you don't need grapes, as yummy as they are, save those for maintenance, they will always be there. Now is the time to super max out on your weight loss, fruit and veggies will be there waiting for you once you meet your goal weight.
You got this, keep up the great work!

Great picture Grim and Juniper!!
Meat Week has been great for me! I'm down 3 lbs from Monday and I have learned that I have been seriously slacking in my Protein First Mantra. I had surgery 5 years ago, so it's sometimes easy to forget some rules. I never drink while eating, and I (almost) always take my vitamins faithfully, but I haven't been eating totally protein first, with veggies and carbs only if there's room later.
Yesterday I was seriously craving fresh ground almond butter, but I resisted and had a protein shake. My menu hasn't been too varied and I can see myself getting bored with it quickly.
Brunch: Leftover pulled pork and brisket from City BBQ
D: Bacon and cheese sticks
Snack: Protein Shake, 2 Light and Fit yogurts
My calories were around 1300 and my protein was 120 grams!
I see that it's lobster fest at Red Lobster, so hopefully I can get some more lobster today!

No pic here :)
my thoughts on meat week is that it's not that different from how I usually eat lol! But I did do meat plus critters. I also realized I really need to change things up as I'm getting bored of eating the same things every day I realized this when I checked these threads and saw everyone else's food!
