What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
You WILL be an Ironman!! you have to do what you have to do. I brought a yogurt with me today and may cave and eat it before my run. I know 5 miles is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I can't screw with my running the week before a 1/2 . . . even if it's all in my head!
My brother signed up for Ironman Boulder on August 7. It will be his first (he's done 70.3) I've seen him finish every race, so it looks like I'm going to Boulder (and try to avoid getting bit by the Tri bug)
Other than babysitting,my first job was at Dairy Queen. I had a varied work career. While in college I worked as a CNA at several nursing homes, worked in the kitchen at a pizza joint, and then after graduation taught high school home economics for two years. I hated teaching so then went back to school to be a respiratory technician while working as a CNA again. I was a respiratory tech at several different hospitals until my RA got so bad I had to go on disability. Now I just volunteer all over town to keep busy. Gloomy day in Illinois today. I have food pantry this morning so Lily and I will walk our 3.2 miles at the park after lunch. I will also do 30 minutes on the bike and our one mile after supper walk too if it's dry outside. Post op 43 months and weight at 121.4 today. Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz sirloin steak 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz ground beef with green pepper 1/2 c broccoli S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices! Oh and today is Lily's 7th birthday so I made her dog friendly pupcakes. I'll try to post a picture!
