What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
My first legit job was a short order cook/cashier at a mini-mart. I worked the overnight shift which was a nightmare on weekend with the "bar crowd". I only worked there a few months because a co-worker on the same shift was physically attacked out back of the building while taking garbage out and was hospitalized overnight. They finally hired security during the night shift but not before I had enough...I valued my life's! Oh....the good old days, lol!

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
My first real job was at the Smithsonian Museum of History and Technology one summer helping to assemble a new exhibit. Something about typewriters and early computers. I just remember being bored while working but LOVING my hour lunch break and being able to visit behind the scenes at all of the Smithsonian collections. My second real job was working as a waitress at a very busy restaurant that ended when I got a table of very nasty women who made me cry. My career path then veered into the art world for a while, then public relations and finally, landed in the Department of Corrections from which I retired after 23 years as a probation officer senior.
On my menu today:
B: Hard boiled egg
L: Left over bratwurst (2 oz) with a little cauliflower
S: Protein Shake
D: Ham steak (2 oz) with steamed broccoli
S: (what I call my dessert) Plain Greek yogurt with a strawberry sweetened with Splenda
Going to a photo shoot today for one of local historical sites where I'm going to demonstrate spinning wool. I've not gotten into garb since my surgery, so not sure what I'm going to be wearing, but our costume closet is pretty well stocked, so will find something I'm sure. Also plan to work on a larger painting in my studio today and try to get a small one finished.
