What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Morning AV and gang. The scale moved today and I'm at my lowest weight! Only 36lbs to get to my goal and 8lbs to get to my Surgeons goal. This low carb thing is getting easier, and honestly I feel so much less hungry this week than I have since surgery. I had some head hunger last night, and I found myself in the kitchen with the fridge open looking in. I had plenty of stuff in there that I could have cheated with, but I stuck to it and made myself a cheesy pepperoni snack. It satisfied my craving. I kept my calories to 790 yesterday, and felt satisfied all day. My lunch was so much that I actually skipped my afternoon snack. I also skipped the gym this morning. I think i needed a day off. I will be going back tomorrow, since it's raining here today I likely won't go for my walk/run.
As for the QOTD: My first job was at the fast food restaurate Rally's (also known in some areas as Checkers). I was 15 and they hired me in full time. I turned 16 a few months after I got that job. Not that long ago I went back and made a list of all of the jobs I've had in my life, and it is LONG. I've had 22 jobs in my 42 years of life. Most before I turned the age of 25. (I had my son at 26 and settled down) My teens and early twenties I jumped from job to job and moved around a lot. Aaah, to be young and not worried about how to feed and clothe children, lol.
Plan for the day:
My 8 month surgiversary is Monday
B: boiled egg, coffee with cream and splenda. I have a yogurt logged for breakfast, but the egg didn't sit well in my pouch so I might just skip the yogurt.
L: 1oz turkey, 1oz roast beef, 2oz ham with a slice of swiss rolled up with mustard. It's a lot of meat, lol
D: 4oz baked cod with a bit of grated parmesan
S: Light and Fit Greek Vanilla, Quest protein shake with almond milk this evening
Totals:
Calories 765 Protein 106 carbs 28 fat 25
I love meat, but I'm glad this meat week is only for 5 days. I miss the little bit of veg that I eat. I won't be heading back to carbtown, but I will be glad to have a pickle with my lunch, or a bit of steamed veg with my dinner. I miss the variety.
I so wish I could afford a gym that had a pool. Swimming would be that extra something I'm looking to do in the summer. The Y is just to darn expensive IMHO. Kudos to him on wanting to do the mile swim.
I'm in that awful spot where you are running your interview over in your head thinking I should have said this of I should have said that. Its just a wait and see game now-- I know I don;t have a lot of experience in the main focus of the position- but I worked in the department for nearly two years- and know the operation, the people, etc intimately. I can learn the rest--
Love the QOTD! My first job ever was at at a local amusement park as a ride operator. I operated the kiddie swings. Red button to stop, green button to go. It got on my nerves how overprotective parents were-- they acted like the kids were being launched off into space at warp speed LMAO. I could walk around the same circle at the same pace the kids were moving at on the swings. I think I made $4.25/hour.
Time since surgery 11- months
M1- 2 scrambled eggs & 1.5oz ham
M2- apple/cheese stick
M3- Curry chicken (I may pick something else up- there is barely any left int he container)
M4- likely pork chops, or more leftover turkey/yams
5'6.5" High weight:337 Lowest weight:193/31 BMI: Goal: 195-205/31-32 BMI
My kid is the only one in the family with a Y membership because it's $17/month. We wouldn't be able to afford all of us.
