What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning! Today marks opening day (sort of) here at Geddes LL with a AAA scrimmage. Yay! I'm more excited than my son, I think. LOL He likes baseball, but I think his real passion is swimming. I take him to the Y like 2 or 3 nights a week and this kid will swim laps until they kick him out of the water. Just last night he swam for an hour and a half straight until they blew the whistle. LOL This summer at Boy Scout camp in the Adirondacks he wants to get an extra merit badge for the mile swim. A mile. Swimming. In open water. I'm a strong swimmer, but there's no way I'd be able to do that. LOL
QOTD! What was your first job? Don't come at me with babysitting or paper carrier or some other **** although I did do both. LOL My first legit job was at a Claire's Boutique type place in the local mall called Afterthoughts. We sold crappy accessories. We also did ear piercing, which was where I was usually stationed with the little earring gun. At 16. It was pretty easy, but it sucked when parents would bring in their little kids who clearly weren't into it. When we were slow, I would pierce my own ears. By the time I quit, I had like 5 holes in each ear. LMAO

Oh, that sounds like an awesome job! At one point in my life, I wanted to be a museum curator.

Me too! But working there made me fall in love with education, so I took a surprise path away from museums.

How does a person run out of food? I have a 30 day supply of steaks in my freezer at all times.
Are you related to George Donner or James Reed?

I'm just unprepared for a day without acces to a fridge. I'm not taking the chance of sticking leftover salmon in a lunch bag and hoping it's still good in 6 hours! But I'll be sure to tell Uncle George you said, hi!
