Have a great one!
Morning AV. I have a confession. I am cheating on Meat Week, but in the most miniscule way. Last night I put about a teaspoon of finely chopped onions in my ham and egg omelet. Today I'm having tuna for lunch, and I put a small amount of diced onions in it. I am going to say that these small editions are just spices or condiments, but I have to be honest with you all. Also, I just couldn't stomach my protein drinks with milk, so I've been using almond milk. My mouth is sore. I had sightly chapped lips yesterday when I went to the dentist and when he had my mouth wedged open (root canal was on tooth 14 in the top back) my lips split. So, not only does my jaw ache like a mofo today, my lips are all cracked and sore too.
BUT! I was up and at the gym again this morning. I think this working out thing is like a drug, it feels good and I don't want to stop. My scale is moving down again and while I'm not back to my lowest weight from last week, I'm on my way there. I am going to run tonight after work because I have that 5k on Sunday and I need to get a little faster. I walked nearly 3 miles yesterday, but it was hubby and I so it was a lot slower. I think I've convinced him to start running with me. he needs new shoes and some sweats or something because all he has is jeans and he refuses to run in those. We're even going to get a jogging stroller that converts to a bike trailer. we're going to dust off the bikes and see about doing family bike rides. We live about 10 minutes from some county Metro Parks that have miles and miles of bike trails.
and here is a pic from the gym on Saturday. We rocked it!
So, meat week continues, and I'm hanging in there. Dinner tonight will be made with peppers and onions, I will avoid eating them but will use them to season my food. My hubby and the kids are eating this with me tonight. They will not get a starch with it. I showed my hubby the Black Bean Spaghetti on Amazon yesterday and he's looking get it for himself. I will avoid eating it for now, but I'd like to give him options.
nearly 8 months since surgery.

QOTD: My kitchen window looks out to my back yard and the woods behind my house. here's a pic from when we first bought the house in 2011. The tree line was completely over-grown. We have been slowly clearing back, but I don't have any pics handy of what it looks like now.
We have this bike trailer that converts into a stroller and LOVE it sooooo much!! Ours is made for two, since we have the 2 littles one. But it was worth every penny we paid for it. We did get it on sale at a local bike shop though.
Wishing everyone a good meat day. I am in the final days of packing up our city home that sold so my menu is eating what's left in the frig and cupboards--not a smart idea for someone with food issues. From the window I look out the most, I will miss watching my "energizer bunny" neighbor who never stops working. He has a big flower garden, a bigger vegetable garden, a few acres of lawn he mows constantly, and a huge metal workshop building he keeps heated with firewood all winter long. In 29+ years, I think I beat him twice shoveling my driveway first. I hate how this move is affecting me emotionally; I don't want to leave but all good things must come to end eventually.
I moved last summer, only 2 miles away, after only 10 years. The whole packing, purging, 2 mortgages for 3 months did me in. I cant imagine 29 years. All the best on the move. I was reading an old post form you when you decided to put your house back on th market due to a challenging buyer- looks like the house sold quickly after that! Congratulations!
