There is something wrong with that....make them happy then eat them? That doesn't sound that happy.

Expecting rain here in Illinois so Lily and I are headed to the park when I finish here for our 3.2 miles. I will also do 30 minutes on the bike and maybe an after dinner walk if the rain stops. Post op 43 months and weight121.6 today. Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L sausage pizza 1/2 c green beans--not my choice it is the menu at the senior meal here at city hall. Hubby and I go and help every week serve food,do dishes and clean up as we are the youngest and healthiest ones there! D 31/2 oz leftover sirloin steak 1/2 c green beans S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices! And here's a crappy picture out my kitchen window. A huge corn or bean field depending on the year!

I would like to keep some chickens but can't because I live in  the city limits. Then I would have eggs and meat too! Yes this is pretty much the view for miles around in my part of Illinois.

My husband has been talking about getting chickens for forever.  I think this might be the year we actually do it.  He just needs to build a coop.  LOL

I know you would think in a little 2000 people rural town you could have them. But no! Alton which is 5 times the size of our town allows hens but no roosters. It absolutely makes zero sense!
