Welcome to Meat Week 2016!
I would be interested to know a couple of things at the end of the week, for those who don't mind sharing.
- I find that eating dense protein and higher fat keeps me full longer, and as a result I go longer between eating, and eat less in the course of a day. I'm interested in hearing if this is the same for others.
- When I drop down to almost no carbs when doing meat only, I find I can drop some pounds on the scale pretty quickly. I realize it's water weight, but it is quick scale movement. I'm interested in seeing how this works for some of you. Of course, if you had already been really low carb, you won't get that boost.
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Grim, I will post again about this at the end of the week but I can already tell you this:
- Denise protein is out of this world filling. I upped my portion sizes since I am not eating anything else with it (I usually have veggies with my 3oz of meat). So today 5oz of turkey breast took me over an hour to eat, it was cold by the time I finished but lucky I don't mind cold food. I am not even remotely hungry. As I write this its 6:15pm and hubby asked me if I wanted dinner (left over turkey) I said no way I am still full from lunch!!!!
- My weight is pretty low as it is, but I will tell you if I end up losing a pound or two, should be interesting
I am enjoying this challenge already, hope everyone else is too!!

Morning!
im heading into work late, my sins has a malfunctioning bracket that has to be fixed. I was gonna use the crea time to get a run in, but it raining and I didn't feel like driving to the gym. It's supposed to be my off day anyway, so I'll probably skip today.
Im not doing meat week. I'm actually joining my jobs battle of the badges weight loss challenge. I'm 'forcing' my hubby to do it with me, otherwise I wouldn't bother. It's weigh****chers for 10 weeks at a reduced cost, hopefully he'll shed a few pounds. (Mee too!)

I am SO proud of your workouts, and just a little jealous that you get to have time to work out! hahaha
I am NOT doing meat week, it would probably kill me, meat and I don't get along very well But I am excited for everyone who IS doing meat week!
I did pretty good with the Holiday food. Did really well with eating what I brought. I did splurge on a few jelly beans and some mini cadbury eggs. Ooops. But whatever. It's done. ONWARD
I am finding that doing shakes at work is fitting in nicely with my new CRAZY work day! My stomach has been "off" for a few days as well. Either just my pouch being *****y, and we all know my pouch is a MEGA ***** or I have a touch of the bug my boys had. ugh

Melissa- question for you- i see that you still use Shakes alot- is there any reason besides convenience that you do this? I am a newbie and i can see myself relying on shakes, with working and such for longer than i am "supposed" to- I am just curious. If you would prefer to answer in PM, send me a note.

Oh I started the "shake thing" about 2 weeks ago to do a little carb detox. I hadn't lost much weight in about 3 months, probably because I was just eating more carbs then I like to. So I started having the 3 shakes a day with a low carb dinner, and it REALLY helped shake the carb monster off my back and I started losing again.
I am continuing for right now because there have been some MAJOR changes at my work, and its crazy right now, and the shakes just work for me right now.
Its not for everyone, and most programs want you to NOT rely on shakes to get your protein numbers in, and really want you getting your protein from FOOD!
