What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?

Good Morning and Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Not sure how many people will have time to post, or know what they are eating, but I am going to post what I know about my menu!
For the first time in my life, our family has really scattered and no one will be here for Easter except for my immediate family, so we are going to a restaurant, instead of cooking at home. I think that will actually be better for my diet. I already chose a swordfish for my meal and there'll be less opportunities for grazing. Plus, I have made it through this ENTIRE season without a piece of chocolate, and I can much more easily avoid dessert at a restaurant. This is nothing short of a miracle for me.
QOTD: What is your favorite holiday? I love Thanksgiving. Not just for the day, but the whole fall season in New England is so cozy and always makes me so happy.
B: Chai Protein Latte with Fairlife Milk
S: almonds and cheese
L & D: Cajun Seared Black & Blue Swordfish (from the menu: "blackened swordfish served with sautéed bacon, apple and Brussels sprouts.")
Exercise: I am on my way to the gym right now! I am going to do some quick sprints and spend some time on the stair climber and rowing machine. I hope the rower helps my back because I think I pinched a nerve in my shoulder. Ow.
Hope you all make good choices and avoid those sugary treats!
Happy Easter to you too Juniper! My morning will be spent at church with a 7 am Sunrise service,a community breakfast to follow and a 10 o'clock regular service. I will rehearse with the worship sometime between the 2 services too! I am the pianist every Sunday for my churc (thank you Mom for those piano lessons I hated). For noon meal we will go to my in laws and then I'll get some exercise with a walk at the park with Li,you and 30 minutes on the bike. Here's the planned eats B 1/2 c scrambled eggs and one piece bacon L 31/2 oz pork tenderloin 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c cauliflower S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
Happy easter karenp8; I know the congregation appreciates your talents. My mother, the lesson-pusher, also pushed me to supply piano and flute playing for schools and churches never being paid a penny. (I did receive a John Philip Sousa trophy at high school graduation if that counts for anything). Today, I listen to my music-major DD share her voice and multi-instrument playing thankful she couldn't wait for her weekly lessons Grandma paid for. I'm having cauliflower today, too by frying a package of Cauliflower Crumbles in butter; when tender add soy sauce and a couple beaten eggs until it cooks and looks like fried rice. Favorite holiday, probably today--New Life--whoever chooses to believe will never die.
I never ever thought I would use the lessons but out pastor who was the pianist left and I stepped in. In the last 10 years I've probably only missed 3 Sundays expect for times off for surgery. I'm also a lay speaker and fill in for the sermon when the pastor is gone. Amazingly I started doing all this when I was morbidly obese. My lay speakers class was the hardest thing I ever did because I was so self conscious because of my size. The last thing I wanted was for people to look at me! But my female pastor kept encouraging me for 3 years until I finally took the class. Now that I am a normal size I never feel self conscious at all! Easter is my favorite holiday too. Who can't be happy when you think of our all powerful God and the grace and love He offers to each of us?!
Good morning Juniper and all. Happy Easter.
Today is a carb fest for me. I have no anst about it, because that's my plan. I aim to eat mashed potatoes and corn, under a pile of butter. I'd love to have a nice hot roll too, but if I did, it would fill me up instantly. Bread can still be really tough.
I have about a dozen coming for dinner. My mom, daughter (and her dumbass boyfriend), and a few friends, with their assorted spouses and kids.
I'm sorry about your shoulder JB. I hope the exercise helps. Opening day us a week from tomorrow. I'd hate to have you start the season on the disabled list.
I don't think about favorite holidays I guess. It really depends on who I'm with, and what I'm doing. But I agree that autumn in New England is the best. It's my favorite time of year, especially for doing things outdoors.
Have a great day everyone.

It's amazing how much of certain things we can eat, but a roll can still plug us up like a cork.

Can we all agree that we'd like to see video of you chucking your uneaten rolls at the dumbass boyfriend? It kills two birds with one stone, and I know you like efficiency!
That doesn't sound very Easter-like. It does sound like a great idea for my birthday though!
I've told him a couple of times that I already have a hole dug for him. Always dig the hole first.
