What's your favorite food prep gadget for post-op?

Hey All,

Happy Easter to everyone! I hope you all get to spend the day with those you love.

I'm looking into blenders and such for food preparation after surgery. Anyone have any particular brand or type they really like? I was looking at the Ninja and some of the Magic Bullets. Obviously I will need something that can puree and or mix up shakes. Suggestions? What are your go-to kitchen gadgets post-op?

Thanks in advance!!

I use my oster personal blender daily. $20. I would not get something big because you eat so little it's a joke to put it in there

I hadn't thought of that, good point!

I like my hand-held immersion blender for making protein shakes and blending up things.  You can blend it right in the container you intend to use to eat it in.  Someone said they don't work well for pureeing meat, though.

Would something like this be sold at Wal-Mart? Maybe I should check out Amazon?

Nutribullet 600 watt is just the right speed, compact in size, works great, under a hundred bucks, and used often. I blend my protein shake concoctions less than five seconds to avoid foam. We'll try to enjoy Easter even though we got hit with lots of snow.

Ugh, snow! We were supposed to get some Friday but lucked out. It was chilly and there was a little rain/snow mix but nothing to write home about. It's supposed to be in the lower 60's tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that. I'll look into the Nutribullet, thank you!!

I have the nutribullet and have used it for the last 2 years. I works great but whatever you do  - do not overfill. Not even a little bit. Not so happy things will happen. I have the nutribullet 900

I found an awesome little Ninja blender on Amazon for like, $34-38? It purees anything, and cleanup is super easy, too.
