I will be travellng Monday and Tuesday...anywhere from 5-7 hours depending on traffic each day... NY to DC and then back to NY.... Rest stop food will kill you...except coffee to keep you going. Those and some premier protein should keep me going. Can't fall on my face during Meat Week on Day 1....

The "Maryland House" has some decent options on your way -- assuming you are taking 95. According to Google its at mile marker 83.  Inside the main building is a Phillips Seafood, but at the gas station building (yes, just go with me here) there is a great burger shop called Elevation Burger. There are several locations near DC but this one will let you get AMAW-friendly food on the road. I usually get a lettuce wrap burger - you could just throw out the lettuce. You can also get multiple patties.  

There is also a convenience store inside with drinks, hard boiled eggs, etc. 

Good luck on your trip. You should take a walk to see the cherry blossoms if you have time while you are here. They are at peak bloom right now. 

Yes, I am taking 95.... so I will keep my eye out for the maryland house.
