When I first graduated law school I worked at a firm that practiced Resort Industry defense.  We had a ton of ski cases.  I saw a bunch of pictures where the snow looked like a cherry slurpee.  Cured my addiction to 7-11 really fast.  I have some GREAT stories from those cases!

Please come back tomorrow and let us know how the judging goes. Sounds interesting.

Lol!  I can usually sense them when they walk in the room.  Now I'm just trying to decide how to take him/her down . . . bombard them with questions or not ask a single one and let them sweat it out!

I had a fabulous (ha) entry here, then accidentally deleted!  It was so clever and wise that all of you--every single OH reader ever--would have liked it.  And you would have liked it enough to press the "like" button!  The internet bells would ding, balloons would fall, Dick Clark would have come out of his grave to present with the Publisher's Clearing House car-sized check made out to ME, Pokemom, for $10 million!  And, James Norton, of PBS's Grantchester, would have come to visit and smile, and would have introduced me to all his very good looking friends and would have thought I was uber-clever and beautiful in spite of being 2 decades older than every muscled one of them.  Dang.  Curse the delete key.

Still feeling lots of discomfort from the vein treatments--last week was an hour of injections into the places where the sun never shines.  More treatments this week.  Stuff like that takes a lot of out of me emotionally too.  Requires the Zen focus, yoga breathing, etc.

Today's family discussion topic:  anger management!  17 son banged the microwave door so hard that it now has to be jiggled to work. 13 son does passive aggressive stuff to 11 son.

Today's behavior goals:

--measure

--record

--sit down to eat

--remember that every moment's habits form who I am, and that is the important focus--every moment is more important than the scale, because the scale will follow if I take care of each moment's habits (metaphor for life, right?)

--avoid chocolate eggs--they fall from the sky and emerge from all the world's surfaces this time of year.

Today's eating plan:

B:  egg and ham and cheddar

L:  leftover shrimp and steak from yesterday's fajita grilling, plus a little onion and bell pepper

D:  For the family, I am making Mediterranean quesadillas (chicken, cheese, and basil), plus grapes and antipasti salad (roasted red bell peppers, pepperoncini, olives).  I will cut out the tortilla and grapes for my meal.

Snack options as needed:  Deli turkey with pastrami seasoning, Fage yogurt, macadamia nuts
