Thank you everyone!!! You all put a smile on my face this evening :-) My surgery went well! I was not nervous going in but I was not sure what to expect after, like a few of you have mentioned. I will be perfectly honest, I feel like someone beat me in the gut with a baseball bat a hundred times. Im taking full advantage of that handy dandy remote that shoots some medicine into me at the press of a button. Lol Today's goal was just to sip sip sip, no worries about specific diet timelines or anything. Just healing and staying hydrated. Swallowing is perfectly fine and no ill effects yet. Anesthesia made me so tired I could barely keep my eyes open ALL day! Atleast I dont have to worry about viral youtube videos of myself wishing I was a Kardashian or anything ;-) I was more than worried I would make a fool of myself lol I took 2 walks today, the first was wobbly and felt like torture because I was so tired. But the second felt great! The only way I can describe the way my stomach feels is like carrying a ton of bricks around in my torso. I cant suck in and its just heavy while Im standing. Laying down it feels more like bloat. No shoulder pain as of yet (they had warned about that). I am very lucky to have my boyfriend here with me, holding my hand and keeping me company. He truly is my best friend. I also got to talk to my sweet little boys on the phone and heard all about their day. 2 more days in here for me, I have a clotting disorder that requires I be monitored a bit longer. Sorry for such a lengthy reply but I wanted to share my experience with those who are curious and thank everyone for taking the time to share your well wishes! I'm so happy I came across the OH community :-)
