I am NEW to this site
Hello i am new to this site but not new with my process i am starting out 3 months in dietitian process i have 3 more months to go and 32 pounds to lose before i get my surgery date . i have struggled alot for the first 3 months and have only lost 8 pounds out of the 40 i need to . I am starting to get on the track i need to be . i am starting to feel more confidence that i can do this!!
thanks so much for the replies and support i do appreciate it very much . first 3 months was hard on me because i have had to quit smoking which makes me want to eat but i try to occupy my mind a lot and not just sit and think about anything . it has been rough but like i said i am on my right track now and i have a lot of faith
Welcome to the site. I am pre- surgery also but do not have a specific amount of weight I need to lose before surgery. Just waiting on a couple of cardio tests. I can't imagine having to lose 40 pounds to qualify for surgery, but it sounds like your mindset is right now and your making progress. This site is terrific and you will receive a lot of support on here throughout your journey.

when i first started this process i wanted to cry when they say for insurance reasons i had to go through this 6 month process i didnt think it would ever get here but time has went by so fast april 14th will be 4 months in and i can not wait till surgery date then it will feel like its dragging im sure lol.. thanks for the replies appreciate it
My heart goes out to you. Seriously this just fries my bacon (forgive the pun) If we could lose weight on our own we would not need WLS. I had surgery years ago when they didn't require this. I did just fine thank you. But as Judge Judy says their playpen you have to play by their rules. It's hard but you CAN DO IT

I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent meal replacement drink i have tried EAS protein but im new at this and i have no clue what to get any ideas would be great thanks... I can not wait till i get a surgery date i feel like im starving myself but i dont know what to get to even mix in protein powder i have to make ya feel full
For ready to drink protein shakes (it can work as meal replacement) I would recommend Premier Protein. For me, the chocolate and vanilla taste good. I am not a fan of the strawberries and cream but to each his own.
Congratulations on the weight loss so far. Move, and watch your calorie intake at this point and you will hit 40lbs in no time. I lost nearly 100 Lbs on my own before the surgery. IF i can do, it I'm sure you could lose it as well! Make sure you find an exercise that you LOVE not just endure.
