The majority if the food I don't personally grow I buy organic. Let's just grew to disagree on this. I guess my personal experience and medical training made me bias. I will continue to as always respect your loss but will continue to disagree on meat. All the best

The Organic label on food means very little. There are a lot of chemicals allowed on food legally permitted to use the "Organic" label.

Growing your own food is wonderful. Everyone should have hobbies. But very, very few people will ever be able to grow more than a tiny percentage of their daily diet. I'm glad you are able to grow some of yours.

Look, I'm not looking to convert people to my way of eating. It just isn't going to happen. I'm a unicorn in that regard. But going all meat and fat -- and zero carb -- for 5 days is absolutely not going to hurt anyone. And it could help, maybe a lot. Especially starting the day after Easter, where a lot of folks are likely going to be up to their ears in carbs and regret. The carbs are tasty, but regret always sticks in the craw.

Could I eat healthier? Of course. But I eat far, far healthier than when I was obese. And what's incredibly important for me is the way I eat now is sustainable -- for me. This isn't a fad diet for me. This isn't something I can cling to for a month or six and then go back to eating stuff I shouldn't. This is a way of eating I can do for the really long term. And that's what is going to keep the weight off, and me healthy, for the rest of my life.

And unicorns? I'm pretty sure it was some of my ancestors that ate the last of those.

I googled "low carb diet is healthy for you" and came up with a TON of great resources, including an article from the Mayo clinic stating that it can be beneficial, especially for weight loss.  There are always different views, and honestly I get a little irritated when someone comes in with such a holier than thou attitude about it.  I understand that you think you care about people enough to "save them from themselves" but when you come in with "people just google" you really don't make the point that you would like to.

Another thing that you have no taken into consideration is that everyone is different.  I have an eating disorder that makes it difficult at this point in my life to eat the way that you insist I must eat.  Should I chance it and eat stuff that may set me off?  I think not.

Please step down off of your soapbox and do a little bit of research into how to interact and relate with people.  It may help you in the long run.
