Hi everyone, Happy Friday!

For those of you who follow or read the daily "What's on the menu today RNYers hosted by the awesome AV (AngryViking) we have come up with a fun challenge for you all!  Most of you know Grim (Grim Traveller, Boy Hag) and his love of meat, and that fact that he can eat meat everyday for every meal.  Him and I were posting back and forth about having an "All Meat All Week" Challenge a few days ago and came up with this fun idea (and you know cuz we all want to be like him, LOL).

So here is the challenge:

Starting on Monday March 28th for five days - Monday to Friday we challenge you to eat meat for all your meals and snacks.  Some people have asked for something not as strict so we will have two options in the challenge: You choose one of the two options:

  1. All meat all meals and snacks - meaning you eat only meat anytime you would eat a meal or a snack
  2. All critter for meals and snacks - meaning cow, pig, chicken, fish, so this includes eggs & dairy (cheese, milk, cream, yogurt, shrimp, crab)
  3. Condiments are allowed, within reason... don't have one egg and drown it in a 1/2 cup of ketchup LOL LOL

Note any liquid you would normally drink is still 100% a go.  We are just looking to have fun by eating meat ONLY for your meals & snacks. If you are a four cup of coffee a day kind of person (ahem me) that is still a go. So coffee, tea, water with flavorings, all yes, keep up your fluids, this is just about meals and snacks.

Here is an example:

Currently one of my snacks I have daily is red pepper cut into strips with laughing cow cheese.  For me I am going to try the all meat challenge so instead of peppers and laughing cow I will have some salami deli meat or some pepperoni crisped in the microwave.  I eat tuna over salad greens daily I will now substitute 5or 6oz of steak or chicken breast.  I usually have shrimp & ****tail sauce as an evening snack I will now have more deli meat.  That's just me and what I plan to do.

I hope you will all join us, post your menus, post pics of your "all meat all week" food!  I hope those of you at home *****ad daily but don't post will join us as well.

Its just a fun challenge, something different.  Gets us out of our comfort zone and some are struggling with carbs so this will be a great way to detox off of those nasty carbs (crackers, chips, popcorn, cereal, bread, rice)!

What's the prize you ask for the most "all meat all week" menu poster, you get to be Grim's "Meat Queen."

Let me know if you have any questions, let's have some fun!  Hope you will join us!

We should have made this run simultaneously with Shark Week. It kinda fits. Is there a Wolf Week maybe?

You can be a carnivore, or carrion. The choice is yours.

PS Is the logical follow-up to this going to be Nut Week?

I wish we could still do chocolate week. If I found out I had a terminal illness, I would. As soon as I got back from England with some of those Cadbury Egg Donuts.

If you go to England and get one of those egg donuts and don't tell me that's it we are done!  I just won't continue this friendship!

What about A-MAW covered in chocolate... I might be on to something...

Pre-surgery I was lucky enough to eat some chocolate covered bacon with finely chopped salted nuts on top. OMG... I might have to figure out how to make something like this that is sugar free... hmmm

I am in. I actually think I could easily eat steak every night. It's the mornings. Where do protein drinks fall on the spectrum? Fluids as usual? I am not a big jerky fan but am thinking bacon jerky I could get behind as  a good snack. Trader Joes used to have one. Wonder if they still do.

Whey and milk are from critters, so you could still do those. But you will open yourself up to cruel taunts of taking the easy way out. You know how we all feel about that.

It is just one month pre-op/post-op surgery surgeon wants me to have 100g protein a day. I have been sliding by on protein drinks.
