Most of the time I do not feel like eating although I have a gnawing in my stomach and I am hungry.  Most foods make me nauseous and I'm having a rough time getting my protein in.  I have general muscle weakness as well.  Is this normal?  Did other people go through this too?  Although I am losing weight and  have lost 60 lbs since the beginning f the process.  I am getting depressed because I feel like crap a lot of the time.

Are you on a acid reducer? Sometimes not taking one makes you ill at your stomach.. How much are you drinking? are you getting your liquids in?

I have not had an issue with really any food- eggs sometimes make we feel weird in the morning. im 3 months out.

Yes, I'm still on the acid reducer for a little bit longer.  My doctor prescribes it for three months.  I am drinking between 50 and 64 oz a day.  That really is a struggle, too, because even water nauseates me some days.

Sounds like you are doing really well with trying all the foods?

It's like you are describing me. I feel awful every day. I've tried most of the protein drinks and can't get them down. So, I finally decided to eat some REAL protein (the last few days), and I feel so much better. I really had to force myself. I keep putting myself back on liquids because I felt so bad. Even though I have always hated yogurt; I tried some & added unflavored protein powder from the bulk barn. Then I tried cheese. Then cashews. I have been too scared to eat. I'm trying new things one at a time (very small amounts). But, this is actually helping me feel better. I measure everything and count calories in 'my diet coach' app. I want to feel better, but not mess with my progress. Not sure if this applies to everyone. But, finally getting protein is working for me. Hope you feel better soon.

Hey Jo Jo

At least I don't have to feel like I'm that only one that feels so yucky every day!  It seems like everyone I talk to that's had the surgery says how great they are doing and how happy they are.  That's not me, YET!!

My doctor told me not to use protein drinks anymore or the protein powder to add to my food.  Not that I could even swallow the protein drinks; I find them so nauseating.  I can't eat yogurt anymore, ick!!  I've been really trying to eat "real" protein, too, but not very successfully.  Today I tried eggs again, but only got a couple of bites in.  I really do believe that eating the protein will help; I just can't get it down.  I have a doctor's appt on Wednesday; I really hope that they have some suggestions.  Thanks for your support.
