Definitely the dry. The wet food is disgusting, and comparing it to corned beef hash doesn't help. I hate this time of year when everyone trots out the corned beef. If you have to cook a piece of meat for 8 hours to make it palatable, it's crap. Buy better meat.
Could I substitute dog biscuits for the dry food? The have the bacon flavered kind.

Morning AV. Your QOTD has got me feeling queasy. But, I have a little experience with this. One of my earliest childhood memories is of eating cat food with a little neighbor girl when I was probably 2 or 3 years old. as you know, back in the 70's we didn't have the supervision that we do now, and I remember going out to play in the yard without an adult. Mickey and I would sit and snack on the dish of cat food that was sitting outside of the backdoor at her house. The thought of eating wet dog food makes me want to vomit, so I would have to say that with my prior experience I'd go with dry.
So, I've decided to get my head screwed on right and stop *****footing around with my eating. Seriously, my eating disorder goes in cycles. I start to get out of control, then I straighten up, then I get out of control, then I get back on track. I'm now going into my getting my **** together stage again. The good thing about this time is my out of control lasted all of 2 days. So now I'm back on track and ready to lose this last 40lbs. I'm ONLY 7 months post op and I CAN get to goal. One of my big problems I think is that I'm not getting nearly enough water. So, I'm cutting unnecessary carbs and upping my water. If I need "filler" food I'll stick to lower carb options.
Here's my plan for the day
7.5 months since surgery
B: 1egg, 1 bacon 1/2oz of cheese and 1/2c of cauliflower "hash"
L: 2.9oz of roast beef, 1 ultra thin provolone slice, mustard, a pickle spear and MAYBE a Carb Master yogurt
D: Chicken Breast and stewed cabbage, celery, carrots, onions and tomatoes.
S: shrimp with ****tail sauce this evening.
Totals:
Calories 762 Protein 95 carbs 35 fat 28
Have a wonderful day everyone. Stay strong and make good choices.

Deanna I want to applaud you for always putting yourself out there and being so open with us. I love that you recognize the eating disorder and know it needs to be dealt with. I am proud of you for that!!
I thought DC girl's post to you & Melissa yesterday was spot on as you two spoke of your struggles... the first year, the losing time is easy peasy compared to maintenance, that's when the real work starts and believe me its WORK! I agree with DCgirl that you should be worried. You need to get a handle of the bad behaviours now and stop them in their tracks. And before you think I am being all high and mighty, trust me I am not. You know I was MO as well, you know I did the surgery because if I didn't I was probably going to have a stroke or a heart attack any day. I am saying this as someone who has been there and did all the hard work in the first year and continue to do the work DAILY to fight for my new healthy lifestyle. DAILY!!!! I have no "secrets" I can only give you in a few short sentences how I do it.
- My surgeon gave me "rules" (high protein, low carb, don't drink 30 minutes after eating, no alcohol, take vitamins). I chose to take those rules and make them "law". Meaning to drive my car everyday I need a license and insurance, its law, so these rules are "law" for me and I don't bend them.
- I am scared to go back to where I was, down right PETRIFIED. That fear alone keeps me following the rules.
- I love my new life, my new strong body, my confidence and my wardrobe, I am NOT going back to MO, no way!
You deserve this Deanna, to be healthy and happy and not struggling. Any time you want to chat, PM me.
BIG HUGS to you!!

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
Fantastic post Daisy. You really get to the heart of the matter.
This is a daily struggle, for sure. Resolve weakens over time. I still come here every day, so I can keep my head in the game.
Morbidly obese? I was Super Morbidly Obese! You'd think someone would give you a cape, and a spandex shirt with a big "S" on the front. Instead, they took away all the cartilage in my knees, and gave me diabetes. And I never, ever, will do that to myself again.
We all have the same fight, but we battle in slightly different ways.
Never give up. Never surrender.
